Does this work as a replacement for an R-series floppy disk drive Phone 811 How do I choose the right Irritrol brand?

These were used to replace the Irritrol solenoid 811 in my machine. I think they will work great, just a little different looking.

When it comes to thread size, what is it?

Fittings made of 3/4 in. pvc

What are the plus and minus numbers of the two wires?

In this case, the wires are all the same. No matter how you do it, it's good.

What's the origin of the product? Is it made in Mexico or the United States?

This is usually where I pay attention but I failed to see that it was made in the United States.

The R we know and love is not the same Solenoids 811 are a type of While replacing a rusted out and ruptured solenoid on an older Lawn Genie valve (the flat dome on top of it), I managed to strip the threads on over 10 of these solenoids trying to get one to install properly and then realized what had happened
3/5

Despite the fact that it is listed as an exact replacement part and has the same manufacturer's part number, this is not the same solenoid. A closer look reveals that it is not nearly identical, but on the surface it may appear so. When a part is changed completely, how can the part number remain the same? This is unbelievable. Threading it in is fast and easy, but it only holds onto one or two threads and rotates one to two times before the solenoid begins to lean and the threads come A solenoid cannot be installed deep enough into a valve seat for the solenoid to engage it, and it will not shut off the valve. Older valves will not seat properly with this new solenoid because it has been redesigned. Newer valves, with their straight sides and rounded dome on top, as well as deeper solenoid threads, will allow the solenoid to be installed correctly. As a result of the white ring around the valve seat, which sits deeper in the valve and has a slightly larger diameter when installed, the issue is most prevalent It will be almost a 10mm difference, as opposed to a 9mm. Compared to the original older valve, this newer valve measures 3mm smaller. After trying to remove the old valve ring and reuse it on the new one, I realized that it was too small to fit in the hole of the solenoid that was being installed, and could not secure it. In theory, it should work well enough if installed loose, or if the white ring is removed all together, but I ended up taking a different approach. 3/4" was the size of my original valve. As I tried different valves, I found that the Irritrol 205T is a 1" valve, and it is the same top of the valve, but with the larger seat for the new solenoids, plus it I decided it was a better option to maintain serviceability on a long-term basis by using the entire valve despite its higher price. replaced the valve top with my new one and everything fitted and worked fine. Now, all new solenoids will be able to fit properly when they need to be replaced in the future.

We are not sure what the people are doing that says this doesn't work. Designed to replace the solenoid in the 811, this is a direct replacement. My husband installed it in three minutes. It looks a bit different, screws right on and works perfectly.

One of the only reasons I had to purchase this replacement solenoid was because a gopher chewed through the wire that connected the original solenoid to Having cut it through, there was nothing for him to splice into. Despite its relatively low cost, the new solenoid seems to be working fine.

A replacement that is perfect. I had a very easy time doing it. But notice that the wires you enter at the top on my old one were rusty. It might be best to seal Just to be on the safe side, I used superglue.

This is the perfect replacement! I am so glad you like it! It appeared that the red on/off toggle was loose at first and not stable, but once it was installed, that issue was resolved

It has been quite a while since I used my Toro lawnmower, and the new kill switch does what it should. It is also very easy to replace.

The sprinkler heads are the right size for my All is well. Since then, I have been able to operate my zone for the price of a single solenoid, without paying a contractor to do it.

The installation was easy, and the software works well
5/5

It is easy to install, you do not need to know anything about sprinkler systems or wiring. Our Rainbird system works perfectly with this as it is much cheaper than having our sprinkler system serviced.
