Questions & Answers

1/4" npt on the label, but when I measure the diameter, it is 1/2.". Does this just appear to be a packaging problem?

NPTs and ODs (Outside Diameter Pipe Inches) are not the same thing. By virtue of its standard, ANSI B1 defines the tapered threads used to join pipes and fittings. There is only one pipe thread. A google search will provide you with an NPT to inches convert chart. Here are some examples of *br>*br>Examples of *br>*br>Examples of The NPT for a 14" hole is 0.004" An OD of 54 inches and an NPT of 3/8 inches are 0.75 inches OD by 1/2" NPT is 675 inches OD by 0.75 inches NPT.

What kind of porter cable pancake compressor will I need for this?

My Porter Cable C2002 Type 7 was not able to use it. As soon as I replaced the pressure switch, the problem persisted. There are no problems with this safety valve it releases at exactly 150 PSI.

How do you use it on dewars that contain liquid nitrogen?

The unit has only been tested and reset for compressed air systems, according to the specifications.

Do you think this would work on an Iron Horse Eagle 1HD6160v1?

The pressure relief safety valve is in place to protect against pressure. Designed for pressure relief at 150 psi, it releases the pressure at 76 At 130 psi, the pressure means 130 pounds per square inch. Most control boxes for these types of compressors have a 1/4" NPT thread on their base. There will be no extra hole in the tank pressure gauge, so you will have to remove it, insert a short tube (same thread), install an adapter (T) on the pipe, and screw the gauge and relief valve to the T. Make sure all connections are protected by thread tape. In case your unit is rated at 150 or more pounds per square inch, then this might not be the appropriate safety valve. If your unit has a pressure rating of less than 125 PSI, do not use this valve, as it could result in your tank bursting before the relief valve can kick in.

There is no indication that it is I have calibrated it wrong or the regulator looks misaligned (brand new)
3/5

I installed it on This compressor has a 167280 rating. I think it's around 140-150 In this manner, the regulator will never be able to shut itself off at 150 since this valve makes it so that it never even reaches that level. I am going to send it back and see if another will be sent or if I can find another vendor.

The work is done according to the requirements
5/5

The spring on my compressor had become worn out, so I had to replace it. I had to hold the valve closed when it reached 20 psi. I didn't have any trouble installing this one. In case I want to dial it in, I also bought the adjustable one. However, I find the preset one to be just as effective. In addition, I noticed that the pull ring to let out pressure was too flimsy for the spring, causing it to break after just a few uses. In its place, I inserted a small metal rod and it worked fine.

The second out of two valves leak out of the middle until the pressure in the tank reaches about 35 psi
3/5

That is of no use to you? A leak occurred in the middle of the valve in the first one I received. The leak would occur until the pressure in the tank dropped below 35 psi, and then it would stop. As soon as a replacement was available, Amazon sent it out Additionally, the second one leaks out of the middle as well. I've checked that it doesn't leak anywhere outside of the threads. There is a leak coming from the valve right in the middle. I replaced a relief valve that was 15 years old, but the old valve did not leak this much.

At 130 pounds of pressure, the pump popped off
3/5

In the absence of a compressor, the compressor will run continuously, causing damage. There was another review that stated the same thing that suggests this is not a one-off bad valve. Safety valves for air compressors are far too important to make sure they work It is not a valve I would recommend.

It is a good price, but the quality is poorly controlled
3/5

The devices that these devices provide are more than half a dozen that I have purchased The pressure on my system is set at 110 PSI, but I have had two of these It was necessary to return them after they were removed. It is a good price, but the quality is poorly controlled. A new manufacturer has now taken over my business.

Having installed and tested the device, I would agree with other reviews that the pull ring needs to be replaced as it is too small and is curved in in the photo, which poses problems with your finger and will require you to make adjustments
5/5

My fix was to replace the old valve ring with the new one (only takes 30 seconds). Although it's a bit on the pricey side, I still think it's worth a 5 star rating due to its.

Now that I have my compressor running, I'm ready to go! In design, it's different from the original valve (maybe that's good considering it There was a slight problem, but it wasn't with the valve, it was with The pipe threads were of a straight cut instead of the traditional tapered design
5/5

It would be annoying to have to use the OEM part if I need to retap the threads. Therefore, I used an adaptor I had to make it work (just in case).
