Dear Sir or Madam,br>br>Cash Acme T NCLX-P relief valves NCLX and 5L are two terms that are used interchangeably. When set to the same 150 psi set pressure, the BTU/hr capacity of 5S is identical. However, the element and shank lengths for these two valves are different, so you'll need to check with the water heater's manufacturer to see if they're compatible with your specific model. The outlet side of one of the two valves I ordered was missing threads. That step in the manufacturing process appears to have been skipped. I had to rush to a big box store to get a replacement because I had the old one out when I realized what had happened. As a result, before dismantling your water heater, double-check all of the valves.
Hello,br>br>I don't have a lot of time these days to write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so. My new water heater has been on the job for three years, and I'm on my third valve. After about a year, they all start to leak slowly. Drop, drop, drop. br>br>I purchased two more just in case I needed them and to write a review. I'm going to look for a different brand because these are completely useless. br>br>A drip line and a bucket should be installed. Invest in a water alarm sensor as well. These are going to spill! They are, however, simple to set up. br>br> Easy fix. They simply do not withstand the test of time.
The old one was leaking constantly because it wouldn't seal properly. Because of the hard water we have, the job to replace it was simple: turn off the water heater's supply, turn off the gas, connect a hose to the drain spigot, and open the drain. I also turned on a hot water faucet on the second floor to speed up the draining process. I replaced the safety valve after double-checking that the water level was below it.
With a little pipe dope, I twisted right in. No leaks. This one works as it should, whereas the previous one did not. As a result, this was a big step forward. I was worried that the old one's inability to release was a safety issue.
The valve is exactly as shown, and it's the same one I replaced. br> I looked around for a few days before settling on this company's product. I'm glad I took the opportunity to do so. In some cases, the cost was significantly less than that of competing websites. So it's a great deal.
Two heaters had their valves replaced. Both began to leak after less than a year. Ordering a different brand will save you time.
My 17-year-old Kenmore water heater was a direct replacement. It was exactly as described. For the 153, Sears no longer sells this pat. 316454 is the model number for a water heater.
This is an excellent substitute. Before you begin, make sure there is no debris on the floor. My leaking continued after that, but I simply had to open it up a couple of times to clear things out, and it has worked flawlessly since then.
