I can tell you, Mary, that these are for water heaters in motorhomes and trailers. It is a 1/2-thread 195-degree valve. Your old valve has a tag that tells you the size and temperature of the valve.
1/2" threads on the insert end (probe end), 3/4" NPT on the other.
I've had this in my motorhome for over two years and it's still going strong. But I'm afraid I don't know where it was made because I've misplaced all of my information about it. I'd go outside and see if there's any information visible on the motor home, but it's not in use right now. Camco Manufacturing, on the other hand, is a North Carolina company that is among the state's top 100 private companies.
1/2" is the size of the outlet.

I tried a few other fixes first, but I should have trusted my instincts and replaced the valve first; the hot water now works as it should. The cost was reasonable, and the setup was straightforward. It only took a few minutes with some teflon tape to finish the job.
Isn't it true that the size of motorcoaches (even the Bel Grande) differs from the size of pipes? Yup. Folks, they've done it yet again. If you don't have access to a trailer, half inch is nearly impossible to find. A coachdealer who has merchandise to sell on hand. Dealers have new trailer inventories worth tens to hundreds of millions of dollars. (Perhaps more) coaches Some companies keep small inventories of hundreds of parts on hand to keep customers happy when parts break. Many of the parts appear to fail as a result of use rather than mis-use. use. Far too often, these companies build junk that should never be built, then sell it at exorbitant prices to people who they believe will not use it frequently enough to notice a problem before the warranty expires. gone. This is the case when using these oddly sized temperature-control devices. "Pop-" pressure valves that turn on and off During my 60 years in the industry, the industry standard was 3/4" rather than half inch. The new one does exactly what it should.
The valve in the package did not match the one on the site, nor did the valve's description match the actual contents. This isn't a water heater valve for a recreational vehicle. This is not how CAMCO should be!.
My relief valve was leaking and corroded, so this was the perfect replacement. I have a 6 gallon Attwood with 1/2 inch threads that has served me well for the past 12 years.
My Attwood RV 6 gallon hot water tank was very easy to install. This not only fixed the leaking pressure relief valve, but it also revealed that the tank's RV thermostat was broken. We did our homework and ordered it from Amazon as well. The hot water heater is now fully functional. This is a very basic component that is present in all tanks. All you have to do now is make certain you get the right size for your tank. They're color-coded according to their size.
The pressure is kept in check by the valve. Before threading back onto the "faucet," I used teflon tape. Restarted the water heater and turned it back on. There are no issues because the leaking from the old valve is no longer an issue. This Camco valve was the one that got the job done.
My old air conditioner began to leak. I went online and discovered this unit, which is identical to the one installed by the factory in 2005. I took out the previous one and double-checked everything. The hole had been cleaned. The replacement unit was installed after some teflon tape was applied. Everything is in working order.
not quite a space shuttle. . . but these are pop-up items. My MH water heaters have shut-off valves. With this order, I'd like to highlight Amazon's excellent customer service. There were two (2) of these valves in the order. I dismantled my motorhome and wanted to install the new parts before we went on our trip. Instead of two valves, the package came with one. . . make that (1) valve. I contacted Amazon, and another valve was on its way within minutes. . . over-the-top! night! I think this is the best example of Amazon's excellent customer service that I've ever seen.
