What's the best way to determine if this is the right repair for your broken pump? I have now completed five of them! Most of them still "hum" when connected to the electrical outlet while they are not pumping. This is what you're talking about?

There is a good chance the diaphragms are damaged. 4 was the number I went through I used to have five of them before I decided to get a better pump and gave up. You can get a septic pump that will last a few years with constant use.

There is no reason to buy a rebuild kit that lacks all the components necessary

If you are missing parts, check to make sure you have all of them. A missing part makes it impossible to rebuild an AP 100. If you buy a rebuild kit, then you should get everything you need. The one in question isn't the one here. This seller is not a seller I would buy from.

With this kit, I was able to repair my pump easily. There is a new pump in my house now. It is highly recommended to repair your air pump with this kit.
