The description is a little misleading because it says "Tee for Vent" rather than "Tee WITH Vent," which is what it should say because both pieces are included. I assumed the vent was sold separately based on the posting and some of the customer reviews I read, so I purchased a duplicate vent for $13, but it was already included in this package. I was able to resolve the issue by calling Amazon and receiving a refund for the extra unused piece that I requested to be returned, as well as a $5 credit because the rubber gasket was missing from the box (which I had to purchase separately because I needed to install the vent right away). br>br>I have to say, after watching Youtube videos of this baby in action and putting it to the test, IT WORKS AMAZINGLY! The water's velocity accelerated dramatically! I filmed the water flow (faucet open to its maximum) before and after installing it to my 1. 5 inch pipes, and the draining time was reduced by nearly 70 percent. 75%. After 30 seconds of running the water at maximum pressure, the water still accumulates but no more than 1/2 inch, and once turned off, it now takes about 5 seconds to drain, which is much faster than before (30-45 seconds). (This takes 35 seconds. ) Both pieces are a steal at this price, and I'm extremely pleased with them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone experiencing draining issues, particularly those who have a basin sink!.
Simple to set up – All of the joints are slipping. Make sure it will fit vertically by measuring it. After installation, mine was 1/4" away from the sink. For clearance, I had to joggle my drain pipe over, which was unfortunate but understandable given the circumstances. Other tees may be smaller and more suitable for tight spaces.
I had two vessel sinks that were extremely slow to drain. These are perfectly aligned, and the sinks are now draining normally (and quickly). It was simple to set up, but I'm used to working in the construction industry. You won't need to buy another Redi Vent because it comes exactly as shown. When I first got it, that wasn't clear. These are fantastic. All of my vessel sinks (that aren't vented) will get this treatment.
This is how I drain my sink into a dry well in an outdoor kitchen. It's in the middle of the yard, so I can really let off steam in the traditional way. I've used it and it's been great; the water drains as quickly as a regular sink and the venting appears to be working properly. If this fails again, I'll post an update.
My only issue is that the pipe is in the middle of a size range, and I couldn't get it to fit on either a 1. 5" or a number one The coupler is 25" long. I eventually discarded the pipe and relied solely on the air admittance valve. This product functions admirably.
Under the kitchen sink is a perfect fit. Does a good job - There will be no more gurgling, clogging, or slow draining.
It completed the task to our satisfaction. An excellent purchase.
Great concept, but be aware that the packaging is deceiving. It works with 1, according to the manufacturer. 25" or 1. 5", which is correct in theory, but the tee is 1. To make it work on a 1. 5", you'll need to buy two adapters. Tailpiece measures 25 inches long.
