Questions & Answers
I have a 10 inch bread knife, and the blade itself is 10 inches long. The 6 inches refers to the blade length, according to the Rada website.
All of the rada cutlery is fantastic. I'm not sure if this knife will work for scallops, but it's worth checking out their other cake knife options. This knife has extremely fine serrations.
blade is typical - This is an excellent bread knife!

I'm ecstatic that this smaller bread-making machine has arrived. Slicing everything from bread to cupcakes to bagels is a breeze with a good cutting knife. Everything you cut with this knife is smooth and crumb-free thanks to the close spacing and sharpness of the teeth. I have a drawer full of much more expensive knives, but I always reach for my Rada knives, and I love how my inexpensive Rada sharpener keeps them razor sharp with no effort!.
It's the perfect size for cutting any thickness of slice. Many vegetable knives aren't as sharp as they should be, and they're also more expensive. I'd give it a 3 as a bread knife because it's too short for anything other than baguettes. This should be marketed as a tomato knife, according to Rada.
I got this knife because it was shorter than my other bread knives, and I wanted to use it for a 5" tall cake. I'm not sure how I lived without this little knife for so long, and I'm going to check out their website to see if they sell any other cutlery items! I would buy this knife again in a heartbeat.
I've never had my own bread knife before, and this is a nice first one to have; I won't be afraid of ruining it because it's not too expensive. Even when the bread isn't held down, it cuts soft bread like banana bread fairly cleanly.
My favorite bread knife! It's the perfect size, is comfortable to hold, and cuts bread well.
I bake no-knead sandwich bread, but cutting them into slices was difficult due to their delicate nature. Now I can do it, and my family is pleased with the outcome; it works, and the price is reasonable, so I strongly recommend it: )br>br>edit 04/14/15br>The knife remains sharp and strong. Even though I bought two more bread knives from restaurant supply stores because I needed something longer than a 6 inch knife, nothing compares to this one; the others make a mess and leave a lot of crumbs behind. For cutting larger loaves, I plan to purchase a 10-inch bread knife from the same company.
The bread was cut with a razor-sharp edge.
I thinly sliced a tomato. With only a little pressure, it slices easily. Although it could be a little longer, this knife is excellent.
