It doesn't say where it's made on the blade, so I'm not sure. All I can say is that for the price, it's a fantastic knife that performs as well as knives costing ten times as much. It's also very sharp. Bread is very thinly sliced. DO NOT give this to your children to play with.

It was on time. Overall, a good quality knife at a reasonable price; I'll primarily use it to cut bread. The blade is 8 inches long and the overall length is 13 inches. I was concerned that it wouldn't be long enough, but it was exactly the same length as the electric knife I'd been using for bread cutting. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good bread knife.
This method is ideal for slicing bagels and other soft breads. It, on the other hand, failed miserably to cut through crusty sourdough without nearly ripping my thumb off. It can barely get through a freshly baked challah without destroying it. At $9. I'm not too concerned at 48, but I might be if I end up in the ER. Overall, for the price, it's about what I expected, but MUCH worse than I anticipated after reading the glowing reviews.
Have you ever been in a situation where you didn't have the right tool for the job? Me too. My dear reader, the time has come to put an end to this nonsense. Because this knife is expertly crafted, it can carve the perfect crevasse into sourdough, hoagie rolls, or even a firm bagel. This finely crafted, affordable serrated knife has made my life significantly easier, so even if it were to wear out due to overuse - it would still be worth it. Given the incredible price, I wouldn't mind replacing it. A!.
Apparently he had the feeling that with a true bread knife that I wouldn't, because he started making bread from home and found the stuff tasty. Using serrated steak knives just wasn't necessary, and cutlery manufactures made bread knives themselves and many other types are out there as well. To use on any breads or bagels, this is the type of knife to use.
My wife and I both cook, and we both agree that this Cuisinart bread knife cuts bread and tomatoes perfectly. br>br>We are picky about having high-quality products. We believe there is no need to pay a high price for a high-quality kitchen knife. This Cuisinart bread knife, which costs less than $10, does not resemble our Global kitchen knives, but it performs similarly to Global bread knives that cost $100-$200. $190. (I know, comparing a Cuisinart knife to a Global knife is like comparing a Ford to a Rolls Royce, but in the end, they'll both get you to and from work. ).
It has trouble with sourdough crust. It has trouble breaking down sourdough crust, which is why I bought it in the first place. I should have spent a little more money on a better knife.
Not so much when it comes to bread. The teeth are razor sharp, but they are spaced too far apart, tearing the bread apart. It's beyond me how a company like Cuisinart could come up with such a useless product; unless you have some brush to clear, in which case, go ahead and use it.
It's possible that this is a fake. DULL AF. I've worked as a chef for 30 years and have never seen a knife wear so badly. It's most likely a forgery. The last time I bought a knife on Amazon, no matter what brand it was, it was subpar.
