My water pumps keep breaking down after a year (not shutting off once primed), so I decided to install a filter. Will this reduce the flow rate out?

In most new RVs, a filter is now installed between the water tank and the pump. This is an excellent choice. As long as they aren't clogged, they don't appear to reduce the flow. But that's why they're there in the first place if they become clogged. Cleaning the filter, on the other hand, is a breeze. br>Gilbert Hames is a writer who lives in the United States.

What is the proper position for this filter when it is connected to the water pump? Should the strainer be on the top or bottom of the water line?

My strainer is in the down position and I have it in front of the water pump.

Is there supposed to be washers on the inlet and outlet ends of this? There were no washers in mine. What size washer do you recommend or can you provide a link to? Thank you very much! ?

My Plugging Problem Has Been Solved- This is an up shower wand that I purchased to use in- My Grohe shower wand was clogged by tiny scale from my pipes or water heater on a regular basis
5/5

It was a success! At the wall connection, the threads are identical. I think I put an o- in there somewhere. I don't remember the last time I heard the phone ring. Note that when the filter is configured this way, it operates in reverse of normal use mode, collecting scale outside the screen. It doesn't matter; it still works fine; it is only pressurized when the shower is turned on in this application. I remove the cover every now and then, turn on the shower, and rinse the scale into the drain.

One of the first upgrades to the fresh water system was this one
5/5

A strainer was not included in the installation of my water pump. The strainer is a low-cost device that keeps your pump running if the water source becomes clogged with debris. It's far easier to clean the filter than it is to service the pump.

I had to replace my Shur- I added a strainer to my flo RV pump
4/5

It's that simple. Before the pump, there was no inline water filter in my restored RV. I replaced the pump and added this strainer to protect it from debris in the tank and keep it out of my water system.

Installing with the swivel connector is a breeze
5/5

It would have been simple to install had the rv manufacturer not placed the pump behind and beneath the furnace. Wish there was a way to buy just the clear cap because that's the only part that can break due to freezing or cross threading.

The swivel nut aids installation positioning and is a must-have for your pump
5/5

I'm not sure how much I can say about it, but I like this strainer a lot. This one was VERY easy to install with the swivel nut and much easier to remove the basket on than the one I replaced, which was older and completely inline.

On my motorhome, it's the perfect replacement! I needed a replacement for my motorhome's strainer, and this was exactly what I needed
5/5

After experiencing water issues, the old one became severely clogged, so we decided to replace it. This fit perfectly in place of the old one and did a fantastic job!.
