Is this going to be able to withstand being submerged in boiling water?

This inline strainer is unable to withstand the heat of boiling water. Is a common plastic that does not work at temperatures higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

Is it possible to use this inside a water-tight container? How do you keep your computer cool? Temperatures range from 86 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit?

The strainer has a maximum temperature of 125 degrees Fahrenheit.

Is it possible to hang this upside down or on its side?

It is possible to mount it backwards. If that's the case, just make sure the filter is properly seated before screwing the cover on. Alternatively, it may not fully tighten.

What is the temperature range, and can it be used as a source of hot water in a home?

Hot water should be avoided! We had a water softener that slowly died, resulting in pipe scale. With the new softener, it's loosening up, and the dishwashing machine's tiny little debri filter is at floor level in the back, requiring removal. So, under the sink, connect this to the supply line. The issue has been resolved. It's simple to open and close, and it's also simple to keep clean. UPDATE (June 27, 2019): There is no mention of a maximum pressure or temperature range in the specifications. Today, the thread in the bowl broke, flooding the kitchen. 70 psi is the pressure we use. It's not outrageous, but it's hot water feeding a dishwasher, so I'm assuming it can't be used with hot water because the bowl was nearly opaque white. The screen was clean, but the plastic was discolored. Otherwise, everything went well, but I'm giving it a lower rating due to the lack of specifications. Repairs are being made as soon as possible.

This is a really cool filter

I was looking for a push-up bra, but couldn't find one. Although there was a connect version, it was not available on Amazon. This worked perfectly as an inline filter for my aquarium's automatic water changing system with the addition of a couple of fittings. My peristaltic pump had become clogged, and this appears to be a solution. br>br>Quality of construction appears to be satisfactory. The lid is easy to screw and unscrew.
