Hello. There are 50 wires per square inch in a mesh of 50 mesh. This equates to a filtration of 304 microns. We do have a 40 micron (250 mesh) screen available. There isn't a copy of this book on Amazon - This version is available for purchase on the VacMotion website.
Hello, The strainer is usually installed on the inlet side of the pump to protect it. If desired, I can also be used on the discharge side. ** The flow direction is indicated by the arrow on the side of the housing.

This is a very nice filter. It's what I use to protect the water pump's input. br>It's a tad bit on the small side. The entire thing could be stuffed into a tennis ball. br>It's simple to clean; the clear section of the housing unscrews without tools, and the filter screen slides out easily. br>I have mine set up so that the water flows in the opposite direction of the body's arrows. For some reason, dirt is captured on the inside of the filter screen despite the intended flow direction. I'd rather the dirt be captured outside, where I can see it. br>Aside from that minor flaw, this is a high-quality product that I would purchase again.
After destroying a couple of these tiny DC pumps, I wised up and purchased this filter. This is fantastic! It's simple, tough, and easy to clean, and it gets the job done without a hitch. Unless you are absolutely certain that you will never, ever pump anything other than faucet water, I strongly advise anyone purchasing the pump to also purchase this filter.
It has a solid feel to it. It was well worth the money. When you hold it for the first time, you'll notice how well it's made. Made in the United States of America! It's nice to get away from the low-cost import nonsense for a while.
This was purchased for an aquaponic system and has proven to be extremely effective in keeping debris out of the water pump.
I did have to change out my hoses to the smaller size, but it works great and does the job. I would definitely recommend buying it because it is so simple to clean.
On a 10-inch monitor, I installed this. I like the see-through design of this gallon, 1 GPM weed sprayer with inline suction. If the mesh screen becomes clogged, it can be cleaned through the bowl. This prevents the spayer wand from becoming clogged with contaminants in the tank.
These filters are excellent, and they arrive quickly. Since then, I've added a few more filters to my collection. It's a pleasure to work for this company. These filters have been used in field research with hand sprayers. Checking the screens for debris is much easier with the transparent filter cover.
I've had this for two years and it's great for pumping creek water. It's easy to clean and works well. It's connected to a solar-powered 12v pump.
