Has anyone used one of these before? Is it true that the top-mounted crank scrubs the filter to clean it? What do I get for $150 more than a standard irrigation filter?

While the bottom valve is open, it rotates spray nozzles that clean the screen and flush the filter. It is much easier to clean the filter and there is no need to disassemble it.

Instructions on how to use the filter

Because there were no instructions included with the irrigation King filter, I found instructions on a different site. It was necessary to plug or install a pressure valve in the middle brass female threaded. When the bottom valve is opened, the valve handle on top flushes the filter. br>A red plug rises to indicate when the mesh filter needs to be manually flushed. br>Around 29" in total length.

I received the IrrigationKing RKTS225NSA Semi-Automatic Irrigation System from IrrigationKing. Automatic T Screen Filter, 120 Mesh, 110 GPM, 2" can be installed quickly. The outer box was shattered because the inner box was simply bouncing around inside the outer box without any peanuts or airbags. It appears to be in good condition. The box contains no instructions. I contacted Irrigation King, and their customer service representatives were extremely pleasant and helpful, despite the fact that no instructions were available; no YouTube installs, no nothing. You'd think that the distributor (Irrigation King) would put pressure on the manufacturer to provide installation and operating instructions. Over the phone, the support person provided the basics, such as screw on fittings, don't overtighten, and so on, but there is no guidance on how to mount the product, which will be heavy once filled with water, so some guidance would be appreciated. Because I'm a handyman, a jack of all trades who isn't an expert in anything, instructions save me from having to repeat an installation two or three times before getting it right. Anyway, I'm off to the hardware store to get all of the small items that a handyman like me always forgets!.

Static pressure is too much for me to handle

What good is customer service if it can't withstand static pressure? Is it necessary to purchase one for each valve in my sprinkler system so that static pressure does not build up? That was a letdown. Customer service was excellent, but the product simply does not make sense. Unusable.

Filter for the water system

This is an outstanding filter. It's a little bigger than I expected, which is ideal for a filter. Self-cleaning is accomplished by the top handle. I run it up and down a half-dozen times before undoing the bottom valve, which allows all of the crude to escape. Installing it was a breeze.
