Questions & Answers
Hello, we don't think our filters are appropriate for your application.
Yes, you can use these to make your own beer at home.
If the filter is on the pump's high-pressure side, I strongly advise using a crimp.
It will filter in any orientation, but it will be difficult to empty unless the bowl is turned down at least slightly.

For about a year, I used this strainer on the outlet side of my RV water heater. I was out camping a few days ago when the bowl suddenly dislodged. This activated the water pump, which proceeded to spew a gallon or more before I was able to turn it off. It's a good thing I was there because the entire fresh water tank would have emptied all over the inside of my camper if I hadn't been. br>br>I tightened the bowl, turned the pump back on, and it popped off again in 15 seconds. For the remainder of my camping trip, I was unable to use the water system at all. I removed the strainer from the line and spliced in a piece of straight PEX when I got home. br>br>Only use this on UN-sponsored projects. The line between the fresh water tank and the water pump is one example of a pressurized line. It is not recommended for use with pressurized lines.
This was intended for use with a Northstar Trailer Sprayer that was poorly designed. I'm not sure why, but the filter was supposed to be inside the tank in the original design. So, if the filter clogged, you'd have to either find a place to store 25 gallons of lawn chemicals or be brave enough to submerge half your arm in the chemical tank to clean it. This was the PERFECT solution! br>br> I simply cut the line between the suction tube and the pump before inserting this. All trailer sprayers should have this filter as standard equipment. What a fantastic item!.
This fine mesh strainer was purchased to replace my RV's liter-sized water filter. Under the bed, replacing the large filter was a pain. It was located on the demand pump's outlet pressure side and did not keep debris out. Between the storage tank and the pump, I installed a small strainer on the pump's suction side. You should not drink water directly from the RV water taps because the strainer is about the size of a fist. When I fill the 40 gallon water tank, I always add 1/2 cup of bleach. All bacteria will be killed by the bleach. The liter filter is a complete waste of money. Simply pour clean drinking water into a separate container.
It was described as having a diameter of 3 inches in the write-up. 85 square inches in size. What is the relationship between square inches and a circle? That, I assume, is the maximum capacity. The strainer has a 1 3/8" outside diameter. It's about the same size as a silver dollar. br>br>I'll give it a shot as a raw-meat substitute. On my boat, I have a water foot pump. It appears to be a good product. I wish the barbs were a little longer so I could double clamp them, but that's fine; the barbs have enough bite to keep me safe. Because the bowl is so clear, it should be easy to see if it becomes clogged. They also make a strainer that is a little longer. I'm going to go with that size the next time around.
The filter and casing are much shorter than on the 3/8-inch model. I'm not sure why, but it necessitates more frequent emptying. With that said, it filters just as well, and the screw threads on the 3/8 and 1/2 inch filters are the same, so you can simply swap the filter and casing for a larger 1/2 inch filter. Before the wort enters my chugger pump, I use these on my beer syphon and as a mash tun pre filter.
This was used to clean the misting system on my patio. It performs far better than the screen insert that comes with the hose fitting. Naturally, you'll need a male and female hose fitting, as well as two short lengths of hose and two clamps to secure the hose to the fittings. (You could simply cut the line that came with your misting system, but I wanted to be able to simply unscrew the filter when I wasn't using it. ) and perhaps apply the filter elsewhere).
It appears to be well-made and durable. Does a good job.
This was purchased to filter the water coming into my hard jetted water system. For my XP 800, I needed a box. It's functional and well-made, but it could be a little bigger. For $14, there's a slightly longer version of the same filter, which I think I'll install instead.
