The manufacturer suggests which crimper tool to use. UL stipulates that this be done. ?

Crimping tools that are "UL Approved" are available from Ferrules Direct and a few other manufacturers. The majority of them operate in a similar manner. The ferrules themselves, I believe, must be UL Approved, which these do not appear to be. They're ideal for hobbyists.

These were previously used in a different kit. However, the 18 gauge terminals were no longer available. So I placed an order for these. It appears to be identical to the ones I had previously. However, when installed on 18 gauge wire and crimped properly, it works well. It is possible to remove the wire from them. I still have a few from my past. I gave them a shot and liked what I saw. You can also remove the wire. As a result, these will not work with 18 gauge wire. I was extremely disappointed. I was desperate for them. I had to go to the store and buy something else. JUNK !.

I wish I had more opportunities to utilize these

When I have terminal blocks and the like, I like to use these to do wiring projects. You will need a unique tool to use it, but it will last a lifetime.
