With these, I was able to save my car. I'm not making this up. My car was said to be dead by the shop. Do I need to take it again? The story is the same. I handed it over to a different person. They claimed to have found a solution to the issue. Nope. With those stupid solder splicers, I fixed them incorrectly. It was a bad idea to use solder that melts at the boiling point of water in this situation. My ECU was completely destroyed as a result of this. My car was unable to be repaired at the next shop. I USED THESE TO FIX MY CAR. Even though I had to pay for the programming of an ECU, this is the correct solution for many different types of automotive engine wires. My ECU would not have been ruined if the first shop had just used these. True story, that dealer shop dismantled my suspension and bolted it to my engine pan under the engine, presumably because I didn't think fixing wires was impossible. Did that make them feel bad? People, be cautious. Automobile repair is no longer the same as it once was. You used to need detective skills, but now all they have to do is read a scanner and "interpret" the results. My VVT wires had left a slew of codes at the last shop I visited. Yes, they were devoured by a rat. They could have been repaired, but the short I made fried my ECU. The important thing to remember is to put these to good use. In many cases, these are superior to solder. This was something I was completely unaware of. Also, keep an eye out for. rats. Because some engine wires aren't copper, solder doesn't adhere well to them. So I gave 5 stars because it worked and was inexpensive, but the box itself is a dud. Those little dividers fall out, creating a shambles. The hinge isn't actually a hinge, but rather a piece of plastic that wears out and breaks, scattering the connectors across the lawn like fertilizer. The latches are easily undone, and the results are the same. Cover the hinge with cloth medical tape. Use RELIABLE rubber bands, plural, as a backup, without a doubt. They do break from time to time. I used crimp ends, not wirefy, because they were aluminum and extremely cheap, and they weren't very good. This is a completely different species. This is an excellent resource. You can't get away with the old crimpers that came with those cheap aluminum ones, so throw them out and invest in these instead. Use shrink wrap with glue on the inside for a great result. If I had it to do over, I would buy the wirefy kit with crimper and strippers, as well as the die set for each type, if I had the money. Perhaps in the future. My crimpers came highly recommended on Amazon, and they were reasonably priced and performed far better than I had anticipated, but no die changes were necessary. All you'll get is smush. Smush. However, it is very effective, so don't be concerned if you are on a budget. Each strand is pressed against the metal of the crimp connector by Smush, and the electrical connection is complete. So this was kind of irrelevant because of the crimper, but the point is that other crimpers aren't perfect but work great with these, though wirefy is best. If it's for an automotive application, DEFINITELY get the shrink wrap with glue inside. With these, that stuff worked perfectly. It maintains tensile strength while keeping oxygen and water out. br>Crimp connectors 5br>case 2; however, tape and rubber bands will suffice. Although it is inexpensive, the connectors are of high quality. I get it. Besides, cloth medical tape is great for a lot of things, duct tape is fine, and rubber bands are a must if you don't want to be sorry. Take a look at this. They were successful.
With a proper crimp tool, it worked perfectly. The hand-operated "ferrule" crimp tools will not crimp these butt splices (due to their thick wall thickness).
These are fantastic. I had originally ordered the smaller kit but had to upgrade to the larger kit. I used it to repair a lot of wiring on different vehicles. High-end product. Check to see if you have a good set of crimpers.
These were used to repair a cable harness in an automobile. The test will be how long it lasts. So far, everything has gone well.
This is the non-insulated version that I required. APPLY the correct crimping tool. Cheers.
Heat shrink tubing is preferable to connectors because it is less obtrusive and provides more strength due to the added support.
br>br>It worked perfectly and looks like it came from the factory.
Aside from that, it looks great!.
