These aren't even close to the Molex connectors I was using previously. Even with ratcheting crimpers, these have much thinner metal inside and require far more care to achieve the proper crimping force. If your ratcheting crimpers have an adjustment, you might need to tighten them up a little more. I haven't had any problems with the insulation being damaged to the point where the conductor is exposed, but I do use a crimper designed specifically for heat shrink connectors.
This refers to the use of correct and incorrect crimping tools. The force required to crimp and capture the spliced conductor caused the insulating shield to be damaged beyond repair. The connector is too large to use on the gauge of wire it was designed for without heat shrinking.
Although the price is higher than average for waterproof connectors, this is to be expected. Not at all out of the ordinary, and the quality is excellent.
The terminals were in a bag in the jar this time, but there was no lid.
The heat shrink is effective and simple to use, and these work as advertised. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
They are not easily broken or dismantled. Among the 300 pieces, there are no flaws that I've found. It's best to use a ratcheting crimp tool for these.
Simply use pliers and the igniter to connect the two wires. There are no difficult operations or special tools required. It's simple to operate.
Don't waste your money on these.
