Thank you for reaching out with your inquiry, Tom. Unfortunately, two 12GA wires can't be installed in one end of these connectors. If you have any further questions, please contact us.
We recommend using an electric heat gun with Wirefy heat shrink connectors because controlling heat flow with a heat gun is easier. If you prefer to use a butane torch, any torch will suffice.

Selected User Reviews For Wirefy 180 PCS Heat Shrink Butt Connectors Kit - Marine Grade Butt Connectors - Wire Butt Splice Connectors - Electrical Waterproof Heat Shrink Butts - 22-10 AWG
Wirefy connectors have much thicker coated copper crimp barrels than the competition, and the shrink tube inside has a strong adhesive/sealant that melts right into the wire insulation. They're translucent so you can see the wire and where you're crimping before you squeeze to make sure everything is in the right place. As a result, the connection is extremely strong, with very little risk of the wire pulling out, which is a common occurrence with lower-quality crimps. These are the only things I'm going to buy right now. I just re-read what you wrote. This should be read. I'm starting to sound like a paid Wirefy shill. I'm not. ) I wrote this with the intention of helping other crimpers.
Don't squander any more of your precious time. These connectors are of high quality. Don't squander your cash on a low-quality item. Butt connectors are used in a variety of applications, and I've also used connectors from other companies. These are well-made and come in a stylish case that you will not discard. However, do not purchase them due to the case. Buy them for the quality and assurance that if you crimp them correctly with the appropriate gauge wire, you'll have a solid connection that will last as long as a crimp can in the various environments you'll be using them in. On top of that, they sent a follow-up message. I'm writing a review because I received a follow-up email from someone who genuinely cares about whether or not you like their product. Stop wasting your time comparing prices and pictures of different connectors and do yourself a favor. Simply put these in your shopping cart and you'll be satisfied. When I was looking these up, I recall reading a review where someone complained that the inside receiver was too short or shallow. That isn't correct. As I previously stated, your connection will be flawless if you use the proper gauge wire and tool.
This heat shrink butt connector set impresses me with its variety and high quality. It will allow me to spend less time scouring the city for connectors when I need them. For a 10-year period, the selection will cover almost any wiring connection situation. The heat shrink feature secures connections and prevents moisture from attacking them and causing corrosion. I also bought a 270-piece connector set from Wirefy and was blown away by the quality and variety. I recommend purchasing a quality crimping tool, such as a new ratcheting or hydraulic crimper, to make crimp connections easier and more reliable.
For a customer, I had to wire an antique tractor. I'd never used this particular brand of wire connectors before, but they're quite good. I was so impressed with Wirefy connectors that when I ran out of the 14-inch ones, I decided to buy some more. This refill is made up of 16 AWG Butt Connectors. The connectors are of good quality, easy to crimp, and the heat shrink tubing shrinks evenly and adheres well to the wire insulation. I was once again blown away, and by-by-by-by-by-by-by-by- the- In the same way, my customer was! Wirefy will be my go-to source for wire connectors. (Note: This is not a sponsored post, and I am not affiliated with Wirefy in any way. They simply manufacture and sell high-quality wire connectors.
Because of the design, I can crimp all of the wires on one side of the cord before splicing the other side one at a time, rather than trying to splice both sides together at the same time. I successfully water-proofed the connections with a Mapp gas torch, but I believe a smaller lighter would be safer to protect the adjacent wiring from scorching. To ensure reliability for an underwater application, I applied some pvc cement to the finished product, but this was probably overkill.
Use the wirefly crimper with this. For butt splices or adding terminals, this is the best system I've found so far. These terminals are used on the boats I work on because I am a boat mechanic. After crimping, they shrink with a heat gun, and the adhesive inside seals the crimped joint, preventing corrosion in the constant salt air environment.
Although it is expensive, it is of excellent quality. The combination of a mechanical crimp and a heat shrink jacket appeals to me. br>There are less expensive mega-couplers on the market. packs. I considered them, but after reading reviews like "thinnest metal ever" and "you should solder after you crimp," I decided against it. Instead, I went out and bought these. My current application is for grounding my high-priced network equipment. It's critical to have a good coupling.
Make use of a large number of them. In comparison to "higher end" connectors that cost around $1 per connector, I found this brand to be an excellent value. These require a little more heat to shrink properly than the more expensive ones, and they must be handled with care to avoid splitting. However, they are not significantly worse than expensive name-brand connectors in terms of value for money. Excellent value for money!.
