The connectors have not been properly installed. Plugging this into many electronics would most likely fry something because one end is the opposite of the other. I was fortunate enough to have been pre-registered for the event. I was warned that this might happen, so I double-checked before using the cable. I've heard a lot of people complaining about this, so stay away.
These cables are known for having weak, easily broken connectors, and the winged clips are notorious for breaking, so you should have extras on hand. I don't believe this is unique to this vendor.
The part was required to correct a problem with my 3D printer. The filament was not being pushed by the feeder because it was not receiving enough power. After doing some research, I discovered that ribbon cables deteriorate as a result of sliding and stretching. I only lost power to the feeder because the old ribbon cable wore out but did not completely break in my case. This replacement fixed my problems; it will probably wear out again in the future, but at least now I know how to diagnose and fix the problem.
Type A is a battle between the two types of people. Order Type A if you require the ends to be reversed! br>I also had to flip this cable around on one end, but it is now configured as shown in the photos. The pins will be in the same order on both sides, but the clips will be flipped. The clips will be kept the same, but the pins will be flipped.
Excellent item.
So far, I haven't encountered any fried parts or problems. I had hoped for a choice that was more than one. However, the distance is only 5 meters.
One of the ends was connected in the wrong direction. It should work when each side is inserted correctly with the slot tab in place, but it didn't. I had to use a utility knife to whittle off one of the tabs and insert it "backwards" (which was correct). " Then everything fell into place.
