Questions & Answers

When does the voltage reach its maximum?

The voltage of the current being measured is what I assume you're talking about. I believe the term isolation voltage is what you are looking for in the datasheet. The 2100VAC adapter has a 354 VDC power supply. For those of you looking at the output voltage, it is 5VDC.

The 30th Based on the description, 600 mv/a are being used. The number 6 is equal to twenty. A 5v margin! Could that be what the output is? It is also possible that there are other suspects. ?

The sensor outputs 2 V when it is powered by 5 V. With no current flowing, the voltage is 5 volts. The output of 2 is driven by a 30 amp current flowing in one direction. It goes from 5 volts to 5. The output from the second drive drives the output from the first. It is at 5 volts down from ground (zero volts). When the AC current is used, the output just fluctuates around When a 5 volt supply is used, the peak voltage will be 5 volts Just the amount of current flowing determines how high the peak will be.

Do you know whether this device can be connected on a 120V/240V ac circuit?

There is an option to read 110 or 240 volts.

Is this product currently rated one or the other? The title and product description don't appear to There are two chips that say This is acs712elc The one on the left says 20A) and the one on the right says 30A. ?

This is probably a copy/paste error for the chip listed in the description. Despite the same chip being listed in all 3 versions, the current ratings vary. ACS712ELCTR- was the one I ordered, and they had the 5A ones I think this chip is 05B. The ACS712ELC- ES does not exist As indicated in the description, the part number is 20A.

In fact, they work just as advertised, and come at a very reasonable price
5/5

I am very pleased with the price of these products and they work exactly as promised. It will probably be more practical to use an averaging For loop in your code to use these sensors since they are analog sensors instead of summing, because otherwise your measurements will jump around. Find many Arduino sketch examples for the ACS712 on Google by searching for 'ACS712 code' (I used parts bought I am generally not a fan of these because there is no obvious way to screw these things in. Wires connected to the mounting area could be taking up to 20 amps-make sure the mounting is good In reality, little more than 12 gauge wire is used, so it imposes quite a load on the board. There are versions that come with screw mounting holes, or you can (very delicately and carefully) drill your own parallel to the board.

I like the way it works! For motors, this is true even when reversing the polarity
5/5

I like the way it works! In my travel trailer, I use them to monitor the current draw of the motors of the stabilizers so my controller can stop the motors at full extension or retraction when the current flow increases. Depending on the current, voltage being output varies above or below a center value (about 2 v), so you can tell how much electricity is being drawn at the same time as knowing which direction the motor is turning.

I had a lot of neck pain working with this company
5/5

It is necessary to implement a powerful stabilizer algorithm due to the fact that the numbers jump all over the place, both for DC and AC measurements. It would be better for the manufacturer to provide board-only versions or versions with 4 units per board, without screw terminals or DIP pins, so that DIYers can do the assembly work.

There was a lot of wasted time with these due to their terrible noise output
3/5

Quality control and assurance are lacking in the manufacturing process. It was insane how much noise it produced. I tried smoothing noise in the sketch but it did not work. It's all over the place what Irms are reading. These sensors were needed so that I could detect when a device with an A/C was The IRMs essentially trigger the Arduino, which then turns on yet another device if the signal reaches a certain point. This random device would turn on and off as the signal varied. It made me suspect that these boards are defective since I ended up buying a different brand and were able to get It is still my opinion that clamp on CT sensors are a better choice if you are not bothered by how they are In order for the Arduino to read in your Analog In with Clamp CTs, you will need to build a simple voltage divider. They are light and can be hidden unlike clamp on CTs, which are big and bulky.

It works well, but the precision is not as good as I would like
5/5

Although I've been reading data from a voltage sensor with an Arduino, I'm not getting as good as precision as I would've hoped. I can only get 12 bit precision, which is several hundred milliamps per division when measuring voltage. It is necessary to use a different device if you need precise measurements.

Excellent product
5/5

I am very pleased with it. During my measurements, I needed to find out how many amps I had measured in In order to isolate the sensor from the circuit, I had to isolate it I found these Hall Effect sensors to be perfect for my purposes.

It's OK, but the connectors don't allow for 30 amps
3/5

The connectors are too small for 30amp DC 12v wiring and the accuracy is not very good.
