They will dim as intended if you replace one like it on a board. In my opinion, soldering them is not difficult. You'll definitely need a resistor if you're replacing a standard bulb with this LED, such as a 194 or similar. In this case, a 560 ohm 1/2 watt speaker would be ideal.
Selected User Reviews For PLCC-2 SMD Blue - Ultra Bright 1210/3528 LED (Pack of 50)
Replaced all of the original amber surface mount LEDs in my rocker switches (2 per switch) and climate control (23 total in climate control unit) with these surface mount LEDs in my 2000 Porsche 986 Boxster S - Works as advertised, very bright. The model, size, and power specs are identical; the only difference is that the model is brighter and blue rather than amber! Check for extras in your order, and test each LED individually after soldering - If you're like me and have rudimentary soldering equipment and mediocre skills, you'll toast a couple (or several) during installation.
Color is fantastic.
The transaction was flawless. When the item arrived, it was of excellent quality and far exceeded my expectations. This seller comes highly recommended by a satisfied buyer.
This is an excellent product. For my gauge cluster, I purchased this item. I had to saunter over to the board, and it now looks great in blue.
I would recommend this item because it was exactly what I was looking for.
I would recommend this product; however, I wish they would send me a few packs of different colors so I could write reviews for them.
