Bad Bit

When the bit arrived, I installed it in the tail stock of my lathe and began boring a hole in a heavy wall pipe for a project I was working on, only to discover that it would only squall and not cut at all. After a closer look, I discovered that the 10 degree slope back and down from the cutting edge was inverted, rubbing against the back of the bit and preventing it from cutting at all. It now functions properly after being regrinded to specifications. I'm in need of a 15/16" bit as well, but I'm not going through Drill America.

In the box, there was the wrong size

I ordered a 1/8" drill bit and received the correct package, but it contained a 1/16" bit; I returned the pair and received the correct size; good bits.

I have three of these for my tailstock on my lathe. Larger holes can be drilled to accept boring bars, which is fantastic. Precision and acuity are two words that come to mind when I think of the word Every now and then, I go over the end with a diamongd hone.
