Over a 48-hour (yes, two-day) period, this professional/commercial grade material firms up according to the instructions. That's fine, but make certain you're aware of the situation. The finished product is a very glossy black that is still very firm. It doesn't resemble a silicone-based compound, which is a good thing. It's clear that it's softer than a typical two-part epoxy potting compound, however. br>br>In a 1: 1 ratio, the material is mixed. 1 ratio. Due to separation, each component must be mixed separately before combining. This is clearly stated in the instructions. It has a very thin consistency before it sets up, almost like water. Because of those properties, it is not suitable as a conformal coating, but it works well as a potting compound (which is what it is advertised as). br>br>Comes with three 25cc mixing cups, as well as printed instructions and warnings. br>br>Just make sure the device the circuit you're potting is embedded into won't leak the material out over the 48-hour cure time. Because the fumes from this material are toxic before curing, it is necessary to wear a respirator.
