What about aluminum? Will this stick? One or two holes are found throughout the gas tank. ?

As far as I know, it works well as a glue for aluminum. You should not polish the aluminium surface to be repaired as the glue works best when it bonds to a rough surface. Using sandpaper of 80grit is one way to impart a rough surface to the aluminium and cleaning it thoroughly with an alcohol solution is a good idea. It is important to ensure that you apply your glue right after cleaning, because aluminium tends to oxidize rapidly, resulting in poor bonding. If you are not covering the holes with a patch metal, I recommend that you apply the glue on both sides of the hole to ensure a better bond.
