Although I do not know what a BMG extruder is like, it drives my Bowden direct extruders without a problem.
This is what I use on my Ender 3 and Cr- I was using nema 17 42-bit, and it worked perfectly. For most i3 printers, a 38 stepper motor is suitable. If you're not sure about the size, you can just check it out.

This product was used to carry out a dual-purpose task My direct-drive Ender 3 Pro got an upgrade to its Z axis. As far as I am aware, the two I have are working perfectly.
With the cables that come with this printer, you can use any stepper motor with just about any size 3D.
The computer I'm building is called clone 3D printer of the 10 clone. With this stepper, you get good torque and fairly quiet operation.
This is not an easy to use software.
I love it, it's the perfect fit for my ender 3 and it works perfectly.
