Questions & Answers
I assume you're referring to the edges of the wood surface you're sanding, in which case the answer is no.
My sander is 8 years old and the new pads still fit, so I'm pretty sure they haven't changed the fitting's specifications in a long time.

This will work with an older RO 150 E Plus from the mid-2000s. These sanders have a central bolt and a truncated round central bolt hole, with 8 vacuum holesbr>br>Everyone should be aware that the cheap foam on all of these Festool pads has a shelf life; I store all of my tools in systainers in a climate controlled area of my home, and after about ten years, all of the foam backing from my three Festool sanders, as well as all spares, has disintegrated It's just sat there, unused, in the dark. I'll be gone for five days. I had spent $600 on backing pads that I had purchased. All of the pads for the DX93 detail sander, as well as the RO sanders' super soft, soft, and hard pads, are included. br>br>The hole pattern on this pad matches the hole pattern on the old style sand paper I saved as well. br>br>Have yet to find a replacement for the DX93 triangular sander, which has been discontinued; I see there are pads available, but I'm not sure I want to waste money on garbage. I like the sander, but it appears to be a one-trick pony that is useless without good pads. I'm trying to figure out how to make it oscillate. br>br>I also discovered that these Makita 6" pads work perfectly with the old RO 150 sanders and paper:
.
It appears that the 6in pad can be used to convert it to an EC150. That's the impression I've gotten. Simply install the Festool 202460 ETS 150 Hard Sanding Pad and you're done. The housing for the 150 and 125 is the same, as are the motor specifications. According to what I've been told, you can only go from 125 to 150. This is something I would never do.
Festool sanders are among my favorites. When sanding with a higher grit, you'll need this pad to avoid dishing or rounding the surface. My only gripe is that the Rotex 150 pads are incompatible with the ETS EC. To swap out the ETS EC's pad, you'll need an allen wrench. The Rotex is a hand-screw on/off system that is far more convenient.
This is incorrect for the ero150.
The bolt in the center is a direct replacement for older 150s.
Festool, of course, has a variety of sanding heads, each with its own function.
