Questions & Answers

The logic here seems to be lost on me. The box from the lumber store is orange and has a tight lid and a handle. It costs $2. Where is the merit in this fancy bucket?

It sounds like we're thinking along the same lines, Crafty Mama. This could be a perfect time to use a free kitty bucket (around I recommend using number 5 safe plastic), drill a 3" - 4" hole with my hole saw on the lid or drill 1/2 holes and hot glue Norpro's F93 charcoal filter (5") into the holes. Later, when it is time to replace the filter, I will definitely use a knife to remove it. Using this under the sink is just fine for us as the lid closes tightly and it has a metal handle. Buying the filters is all I need to do. It would still be a little cheaper if you do not own a hot glue gun or drill bits, but it would require you to buy a drill first. a Utility Knife should also be able to cut a hole.

Could this store keep out pests if it closes tightly enough? Since I live in the city in a building built in the 20's, do I have to deal with rodents, ?

It fits very tight and I have not encountered any pest issues. Additionally, it has a filter in the lid, which makes it impossible to smell anything when It did the job very well for me.

Is it possible to remove the lid for cleaning, etc?

This scrap collector was not an easy task. A new brand has caught my attention.

The product has a way to attach to the inside of a cabinet door, right? Earlier, I had one that looked like this, and I used screws to hang it. ?

Definitely, there is a spot for a screw on each side. To mount the container, slide the screw into the door and attach both screws to the container

It is a very nice This is a better bucket than the one sold by BioBags, which I have always disliked
5/5

I've had it for a couple weeks now and so far we like it. Despite its small size, this one is sturdy (for plastic), good in size, and just the right shape and height to keep it Because the BioBag container often leaked if a hole in the bag developed, I really appreciate the fact that the new container It's no longer necessary to clean up messes. No smells, flies, etc. I found it to be clean. However, there was never an issue with those. NOTE Plastic clips are only available in the United States You're right. If you have plastic clips, they're useful. When you choose to use a bag in your composter (we still use the BioBags), check that the clips are in place to ensure that it will not slide forward into the bucket when you fill it. The lid should be opened. You should place the bag in the bucket such that the top of the bag covers the lip of the bucket. Just place a bag in the garbage can like you would any other bag. If the handles are connected to the bucket at the hinges or joints, then make sure the bag covers those areas. Put the clips over the hinges and slide them under the bag, so that the bag is trapped under each The hinges have a pocket under each one. There are clips that hold the bag in place as the bag slides in.

We have been together for 15 years now
4/5

Over the past 15 years, I have used this product. I ordered a new bucket when the lid of our bucket cracked and we were unable to fix it. Due to damage in shipping, the first bucket I received from the company had to be returned, so I immediately got a new one. This is an incredibly high price for a product I use every single day (I eat mostly raw foods). Don't worry about your overpriced fancy compost buckets - this one works perfectly, and there's nothing to smell! A product like this may not be the best fit for someone who abuses things or is careless. Since I had the same bucket for 15 years and used it every single day, I would think that should say a lot.

An A or a 5 It was difficult to determine which star I should choose

A comparative study of Exaco v. Bins for oxo waste. Where would you like to go? Initially, my reaction was one of surprise. An asterisk. Plastic rubbish. My mind goes to how glad I am that I have three of those great OXO compost bins already. When I check Amazon, I compare the price with what I paid on eBay. All right, thanks. Now that it wasn't that expensive, I'm a little less annoyed, and I'll try it out. She also says it looks nicer on the counter top than the OXO boxes, as well as one of them can hold the same amount of food as three boxes of OXO. The OXO must be about 3/4 gallon in size. A plastic store bag served as the liner for this project. I will update this post once a week. The deal is done for me. There is not a trace of smell to be found at all. In comparison with the smaller OXO bins, we empty this bin much less often. I found it to be the perfect size for my counter. It's impossible to overestimate the effectiveness of the carbon filter. I don't smell anything. There was a concern in my mind regarding the non-compliance Since the lid is removable, cleaning it could be a hassle, so we use a liner instead of just dumping meat directly into the bin. We have completed our task and all the bins are still It is really great that I did not Now that the OXO bins are in storage, they are The stove was great, and it was easy to clean, but you had to wash it more often since you don't use In addition, they had to be emptied on a daily basis due to their odor.

Having a lot of fun with this unit! This composting system has so far proven to be very good
5/5

In order to find out if this product met our needs, I read a lot of reviews before purchasing. It has been only a week since we started using it, but so far it has been good. The bag fits right into the unit and can be used when shopping at Walmart, Shoprite, and Target. Due to the fact that I read that they dissolve fairly quickly, I chose not to purchase the biodegradable bags. As such, we use a regular bag which we fill up for a week, then take it out to the compost, dumping the bag once it's full, and then tossing it. So far, it appears to be working well. At present, the charcoal filter seems to be able to keep the odor at bay. If I start having issues, I'll revisit, but for now everything seems to be going well.

It may not be the best solution, but there are certainly options
3/5

There is nothing wrong with this As an apartment dweller, I don't have a yard to start a compost. I have to drop off my compost once a week at my neighborhood compost. Therefore, I needed a large bin that would hold a week's worth of organic waste. While there is no doubt the filter works, once it reaches month 1, it becomes icky. As a result, I bought compostable liners to put in the bin as I could not deal with the compost juice. This worked for some time, but then I had to line the bottom with paper to reduce condensation produced While the app does its job, there are probably better alternatives available.

I find this to be very useful
5/5

Having a compost pail like this is a great idea. As a result, I give my rating of 10 to this product since it completely eliminates the smell of old oysters. Neither the lid nor handle have caused me any trouble, so I'm assuming that those issues must have been resolved. I bought this container because the lid of my old container wouldn't stay open by itself. It's slightly larger than most compost containers I've seen, but the real reason is that my old one wouldn't stay open. The one I bought does, so I'm very pleased with it. The August 2017 edit was as follows There is no need for the side clips because without them, the 2-inch is quite small. Bags with a capacity of six gallons are too small for compost. It is best to buy the 3 gallon bags instead of the buckets in order to prevent them from falling in.

I think you did pretty well- The only flaws were very minor ones
4/5

I love this little compost bin - it's perfect The size and shape is perfect for our needs (my husband and I are two people and we cook from scratch a lot, so there is more scrap food If I were a manufacturer, I would improve on two small things (1) Make sure there is some kind of lip on the front so it will be easier to lift the lid with one hand when it's not full and the weight of the scraps is keeping the lid down (2) include small hooks on the back for the compost bin liner I have to remove the liner the first couple times when it's just starting a new batch. It sticks reasonably well, but I have to pull it up a few times. Since I've been composting for a long time, this one has so far been the best. Despite the snapping lid, I am happy that it is well sealed- The box keeps out a majority of fruit flies, and I am happy that it does not.
