Questions & Answers

Is there a way to keep bears away from the composter by locking it?

We don't have bears in Central Texas, so I can't say for sure. It has, however, kept the raccoons out, which is normally a problem for me.

What are the dimensions of the doors?

There are two doors on this vehicle. Each one measures 6 inches by 10 inches. 5inch

The long screws that hold the composter to the stand can't be completely tightened. Is this the way it should be?

They are used to mount the center rod to the stand and are designed to stay in place once the screw is started. They do not need to be tightened all the way.

What is the best way to get parts for my large squeeze master composter?

All of the necessary components are contained within the box.

4/5

After reading numerous reviews of this and similar products, I decided to purchase this rotating composter. I chose this product because of its capacity and low cost, and I crossed my fingers that assembly would be simple. br>br>Let me start by telling you a bit about myself. I'm a 50-year-old woman who enjoys working in the garden and building things. After watching the video on the product page, I thought this should be a breeze. I'm used to putting together DIY furniture (20 projects), installing light fixtures, and other home and vehicle maintenance. A Phillips head screwdriver is the only tool required to assemble this composter, and it can be completed by one person. I completed it in 90 minutes, including re-reading the instructions. watching the video, reading the included instructions, unboxing the pieces, laying out the screw and nut sets, and having to reseat two panels that I didn't lock in properly the first time. br>br>At first, I found the flexibility of the panels to be difficult. The first pieces to go together are the two end panels and the door (making sure the arrows on the two end pieces match up with the arrows on the door panel piece), which was a little tricky because there was a lot of flopping around. It was easier to add another panel, then another, until there were four panels in the composter's body. Both in terms of the composter's overall flex and the way you put the screws in. br>br>I discovered that holding the nut while screwing in the screw was easier with my small hands. I believe that those with larger hands may have difficulty tightening the screws into place in a few places. The center piece is installed after the four body panels have been installed. This piece slides into grooves, but it won't be secure until all of the sides are in place and the screws are tightened. There will be gaps between the two chambers to allow air to pass through. NOTE: It's perfectly natural. The center will not completely divide the chamber into two halves. br>br>Once the center is in place, the rest of the panels go together quickly. To create a flush, secure seam, the final panel is tucked under the panel with the door. Both the directions and the video mention the presence of notches, but neither is explicit about this. I made a mistake the first time, but after reviewing this point, I was able to easily unscrew things and lock it in. br>br>The composter was finished, but I still had three sets of screws and extra nuts; I checked the bin again, but there were no missing holes, so perhaps it comes with extras? I'm hoping so, because I've never figured out where they should go. br>br>With push-button assembly, the frame is very simple to put together. The pole that runs down the center of the composter, as well as the button pieces - through the composter's center piece and out about 5" from each end - It glides right through. The composter is relatively light to lift and set on the frame, but it has a tendency to slide around and is difficult to secure with the two included bolts. The composter spins easily once it's attached to the frame, and while there's no handle to turn to spin the bin, there are indentations on the composter that are easy to grip. br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be When putting it together outside, I did end up scuffing the panels, so if you don't want that to happen, lay down a blanket first.

- br>br>I believe that this product would have been easier to put together if: 1. br>br> The screws should have been installed according to the instructions. There is no mention of this in the directions, either in the form of a diagram or a per- There was a mention of the panel number of screws. None of the panels appeared to be screwed together in the video. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br It would be faster if two people worked together, because the second person could stabilize the panels to limit flex while securing them. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. Photos with more detail and assembly instructions. One page contains photos that are extremely small. The remainder of the book focuses on composting rather than the finished product. br>br>- br>br>The composter appears to be up to the task, and it should be simple to load items into it and remove composting material when it's finished. Some of the panels were slightly warped when they arrived, but once they were secured in place, the composter looked good and should work fine. The composter has holes in it to allow air to enter and aid in the decomposition of the materials. This should be placed on a flat surface and rotated a few times a week, with water added to the composting materials as needed. **For more information on this, as well as composting tips and how to clean your composter, read the included book. *
br>This is my first time using a rotating composting bin, but I think I'll enjoy it. The finished product appears to be strong enough to withstand the anticipated weight. The assembly was not difficult, but those who have never put something together like this before may be frustrated by the lack of detailed screw placement instructions. Most people, however, will get the hang of it if they take their time and recognize that if things aren't fitting together easily, they are most likely seated incorrectly.

This tumbler will help you feed your garden
5/5

This was a breeze to assemble. It took me about 45 minutes to put together by myself. Because the doors are wide, it's simple to dump the contents into the compost bucket on the counter. I decided not to use the middle divider, but that is a personal preference based on your composting requirements. It's nearly 3/4 full and decomposing nicely. Simply spin it a few times; it will become heavy, but that hasn't stopped us from adding more scraps. When dumping the new soil, lay down a tarp to contain any spills. We're so glad we went with the tumbler.

It works! This composting device is one of my favorites because it allows you to spin the compost, which makes stirring it a breeze
5/5

My only criticism is that it is quite heavy on the top. As a result, the legs should be thicker or there should be a weight option to help keep it in place. Do not place it near your front door. It allows for the escape of odors. Another advantage is that it appears to be relatively safe from wildlife; we live in the mountains and have yet to have any scavengers break into it!.

It really works
5/5

After a few missteps in the assembly process - Watch the video because once you've gotten it right, it'll only take you 30 minutes. a quick task This was very easy to put together. It has a smart design, is simple to operate, and has a good capacity. Given the price, I don't believe there is another composter on the market that can compete.

Just ok
3/5

I like how it looks and how it has two compartments. Putting things in and turning it is simple. I was able to assemble it fairly quickly on my own. The instructions are even less helpful than IKEA's, but it's not impossible to figure out. I'm not particularly impressed with the quality for the price, but it appears to be holding up, and we'll see if we get compost in a few months, which is the most important part. The assembly and quality of the product are given a star.

After two hours, a defective piece was discovered; many people gave this product a positive review, claiming that it was easy to put together
3/5

Unfortunately, I was unable to put it together on my own. It took almost two hours to put together with my brother's help, with minimal instructions. When it came time to put the assembled bin on the support metal pieces, we discovered that one side lacked a hole insert, as shown in the photos. We watched the manufacturer's video, but it came to a halt before the bin could be mounted to the support system. My payment to Amazon was refunded.

THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE - Purchasing is not recommended
3/5

The product had a missing part that wasn't discovered until assembly, when the pieces that appeared to be in good condition failed to fit together. There is no way to get help or support; the only email address on the instruction sheet is inactive. Because IT DOESN'T EXIST, this is the worst customer service ever. The product appears to be of good quality, and it was well-assembled. The only issue is that the final pieces do not fit together properly. So about 45 minutes were spent putting it together, another 45 minutes were spent disassembling it, some time was spent reboxing it, and some time was spent returning it - In the end, I wasted a lot of time for nothing.

Tumbling is a lot of fun, and it's also very simple to put together
5/5

Overall, this was a simple project to put together, though my final seam would not fit together evenly. While this made things a little unsteady, everything appears to be in good working order, and I've already started composting in both chambers!.
