Our original intention was to stack plates in our cabinet, but the plates (both round and square) all fit awkwardly! We had high hopes for these shelves, but they exceeded our expectations. I could assemble it myself (even I was able to). You will find everything you need to assemble them in the box. Having my antique bowls displayed and ready to use is a great idea. Three nesting bowls in the middle of the yellow batter bowl can be comfortably placed on shelves that can handle their weight. There is only one thing I would change about it--each shelf should have a little more smoothness to it. This shelf is extremely easy to put together. I like the way it looks but it does not seem very durable.
