It might be, but I'd recommend putting it somewhere with a cover to keep your bike safe from the elements. With time, both the mount and the bike will rust.
The package is missing from my possession. So I'm not sure what size to use, so I used blue concrete screws from any hardware store or home depot, as well as a hammer drill.
Yes, I believe it will work if the bracket is lagged into a stud.
The grade and thickness of the plastic/fiberglass wall will determine the cost. There are four screws in this that will go into one of the holes. 2 inches into whatever substrate you're going to drill it into. You could put a piece of wood behind the wall to cover any excess screw length behind the plastic/fiberglass wall, but the aesthetics might not be ideal. Remember that the weight of your bike is being distributed over four screws, so there must be enough material to anchor into so that it does not pull out. Racks are fantastic. I purchased six of them and am very pleased with them - In the garage, I secured each one to studs.

The hooks came with hardware, but I didn't use it. I used TapCons to make the installation process much easier. When it came time to hang the bikes, I was disappointed. Because the hook does not move, you may not be able to use these on a bike with a fatter tire. My bikes' tires are flat, so hanging them has been difficult. Only because I did not drill the hole deep enough in the top screw on the first bike did I manage to get the second bike on the wall by bending the hook.
Easy to set up, the hardware provided is of excellent quality, and the fact that the racks are not mounted on a rail allows for a great deal of configuration flexibility. It's very simple to get on and off the bikes. This product has exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a single or multi-bike storage solution. storage for bicycles.
To support the weight of the bike, it must be mounted on a stud.
The racks have a very small footprint, which I like. They occupy very little wall space. On the negative side, there are two issues: 1 - The stands aren't made of very thick metal, which could be upgraded easily, and 2 - Because of the design and curve of the hook, mounting and dismounting the bikes is difficult. For example, to stick the tires in the rack, you must lift the bike quite high above the hook. br>br>In conclusion - I'd buy it again, but I'd consider other options first before committing to a future bike rack purchase.
Apart from the fact that they work perfectly, there isn't much to say about them. They're extremely durable. I didn't use the wall anchors that came with them because I didn't trust them, but drywall anchors are included. If those rip out, I don't want to have to replace the drywall in the townhouse garage. Because my wife and I both have bikes to hang, the fact that they came in a two-pack made them a great value. It actually freed up a lot more space on the garage floor than I had anticipated. It's also very simple to set up. This was an excellent investment.
I'm surprised no one has brought up the stench these things emit. It has a chemical plant odor to it. They still smell as strong as the day I opened them, even after three days in the sun. It has a citronella-like scent with a burnt rubber undertone. I'm not willing to use these in a confined space because they have such a strong odor.
1/6 in. Toggles that you can pull! It's a decent product (that's also very well-made). made), but there are two major flaws. 1) Do not use the included anchors if you are installing into drywall rather than studs! They have the ability to withdraw! They do, according to a lot of other reviews. When I first used them, I noticed that the top anchor was beginning to pull out. This isn't a good idea. I have small children, and I don't want them to be crushed by a falling bike, so instead, go to your local big home store with the orange logo and buy a pack of Hillman 3-in-1 safety helmets. 1/6 in. Pull Toggle (6-Piece) Pack), SKU 1005721563 ($7 for 6 pieces). They work incredibly well and are extremely durable. Unless a 4-star rating is obtained, they will not be released. A massive hole is ripped out of the sheetrock by an inch piece of sheetrock, and they come out with it. 2) The metal wheel rest is too short; it should be a couple of inches longer. It's just long enough to keep my front wheel off the wall on my old mountain bike with 26" rims. Many mountain bikes now have wheels that are 27", 28", or even 29" in diameter. Those would almost certainly have the front wheel resting against the wall. That isn't a good situation to be in. breaker, but the design needs to be improved. Overall, this is a good product that I would recommend. br>br>One of those HIllman pull toggle wall anchors in sheet rock can hold up to 120 pounds, but as I mentioned, you'll have to buy them separately. They are not included in the package!.
I had a pair of vertical wall bike holders from "Transit" that worked fine for several years until the metal hook began to bend and break, and one of them broke in the middle of the night, sending that bike and the one next to it tumbling onto our cars, so I needed to replace them. The Wallmaster product is identical in terms of installation, and it appears that the hook that holds the front wheel is more substantial and hopefully stronger than the other product; otherwise, they are simple to install if you have a couple of studs to go into; however, I would never recommend using the included HW to install into a wall that does not have a stud. The screws and other HW that come with the kit are flimsy. Instead of using the included screws, I used 3" construction screws. The Wallmaster units will never come off my wall, and I'm hoping the hook is stronger than the "Transit" product and will continue to work instead of breaking.
