It should not rub on the floor; we have never had one do so, but every bike is different, so I recommend that you try your own bike and take a look for yourself.
Thank you for getting in touch, Stephen. Tire widths of up to 2 inches can only be accommodated by the traditional rack. 1 inches. If the width of your bike's tires is greater than this, I recommend purchasing the mtb rack.
The fender rack is something I'd recommend, but it says the maximum tire width is two inches. I'm not sure it'll work with your E-bike because it's 4 inches tall and weighs a maximum of 55 pounds. bike.
Hello, Jesse.br>br>It is suggested that you leave at least 2-hours between your arrival and departure. For the rack to function properly, it needs 3 inches of floor space to lift the bike completely off the ground and hang it in the rack. If you choose to mount your bike higher, you risk not being able to roll it into the rack, and you may have to lift it into the rack. If the tire is resting on the floor, the rack will not function properly. The 2- Our rack works best when it's three inches off the ground. Team Steadyrack. br>br>

Overall, this is an excellent bike rack that easily accommodated two Electra Beach Cruisers against the wall. I ended up putting in three racks in total. Each rack was installed into a stud that was placed a standard 16" on center - two of the fender versions for our cruisers, and one regular for a road bike. On the ends are cruisers, and in the middle is a road bike. This allowed three bikes to be vertically stored in less than three feet of wall space - Given the width of the cruiser's handlebars, this is not an easy task. The cruiser bike racks were all the same height, but the road bike rack was six inches lower. In general, the bikes fit easily into the racks, with no rubbing or damage to the cruisers' fenders. br>br>The only drawback (and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars) is that the instructions clearly state that pilot holes should be made with specific sized drill bits. When installing in brick or cinderblock, this is fine because the provided anchors will be used, but when installing in wood, the pilot hole is too large, and the bolt will slide out. I made several errant holes as a result of this error in the instructions, which had to be patched and hidden. It also meant that I had to raise the racks a little higher than I had planned. More annoying than anything, but before you install, double-check the hardware and the size of your drill bit.
I purchased the two-pack for two road bikes and a separate fender pack for two cruisers that were taking up too much room in my garage. These were shipped via USPS and arrived in a timely manner, thanks to Prime shipping. With a box cutter, the packaging was small and simple to open. I had been following this company since they were a kickstarter and had seen their videos, so I knew what to expect when I received their product; the steadyracks themselves are well built, and you can tell a lot of thought went into everything from the design, packaging, instructions, and website, to name a few things. br>br>Before you begin, you will require the following items: a box cutter, a tape measure, a pencil, a Philips screwdriver, a socket wrench, a spirit level, a 13mm socket, and 10mm and 8mm drill bits (the instructions called for 10mm and 8mm drill bits, but I used 1/4" and 3/16" drill bits). I also bought a studfinder from Amazon to make sure my holes were perfectly aligned. br>br>On their website, steadyrack. com, they have a fantastic installation video. com/video, but their instructions are also fairly straightforward, and they use both metric and imperial measurements. br>br>It is very clearly stated that the Steadyrack must be mounted into framing studs or masonry in order for the 12-month warranty to be valid. The Steadyrack should not be attached to drywall directly. br>br>Installation time per rack was approximately 10 minutes. They worked perfectly with the fenders on my cruiser style bikes, so I'm glad they made these fender versions. br>br>Overall, this is a high-quality item that is well worth the money, as I expect it to last for many years. It saves space, protects the tire and frame from damage, and is simple to load and unload. This is also a great company with excellent customer service who stands by 100% of their product.
(Townies) bicycles The extra tire width and bike weight are accommodated by this rack. These racks are of good quality and do not appear to be low-cost. I like how the bikes can be angled in the rack once they're in it. Our racks were installed on the side of our garage so that one of our cars could park next to them. This feature alone makes this rack well worth the investment. I purchased a two-pack. Despite the fact that it is costly, I am happy with my purchase. I'm sure there are less expensive options, but this one checked all the boxes and was simple to install with a stud sensor and drill.
They perform admirably. The bends, however, are effortless. The rack was immediately bent when one of the bolts gave way. After repositioning, it still works, but I had hoped for something a little more durable.
To begin with, the cost appeared to be a bit excessive. But, for starters, there isn't really a comparable alternative, and, more importantly, it was well worth it once the rack was installed and revealed its true potential. Because I only had a small garage, I needed to make the most of it. I also have ebikes and was concerned about the weight, but the Steady Rack does an excellent job, is stable, and well-engineered. I'm a big fan and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good way to store their bikes. br>br>I used two ledger boards for my installation because I wasn't sure if my stud spacing would match exactly what my bike spacing requirements were. To be honest, that was the most time-consuming aspect of the job; however, the Steady Rack installation itself was very simple.
e-commerce design Fender bikes are still in need of improvement. Because it interferes with fender stays on many bikes, the "cradle" design will not fit all bikes with fenders. I bought the "Fender version" and confirmed that it will not work on a Giant Lefree e-book reader. Bike. br>Customer's only option for purchasing a working rack is to use the trial fitting. A list of bike models that can fit a rack could be published by the company.
However, the gap is too narrow. These are fantastic, but why are they so limited in size? The majority of MT bike tires are more than two inches wide. 2 inches. I'm going to have to reef these to get them to fit properly. It's a shame about the price, because it's a really cool design and it's well made. It was just that one hiccup.
I bought a steady rack fender to store two Electra Townies with front fenders vertically. To get an accurate measurement of the length of the bike to transfer to the wall, place it in the rack while it is upright on the ground with the back tire tight to the wall, according to the installation instructions. That method made it difficult for me to get the bike into the rack. I assumed I'd have to return the racks at some point. The firm assured me, however, that it would work differently on the wall. They were correct in their assessments. The racks were simple to set up, incredibly sturdy, and simple to load and unload. I just placed a second order for four additional copies.
