My ironing board is a little shorter, about 45 inches long. Is it possible to adjust the fit of this cover?

My ironing board is 53" long and fits snugly because it has elastic all the way around; however, I believe yours is a little loose.

The newer version, according to reviews, isn't quite as good as the previous one. Is there a pull string or is it just elastic to fit the China version? thanks?

I have one with elastic, but I'm also using elastic clips to keep the two sides together. They were left over from my previous cover, and I simply pasted them onto this one. The cover is cute and well-padded. I wish I had purchased it years ago!

Is it possible to machine wash this cover?

I haven't washed it yet, but I don't see why it couldn't be washed on a gentle cycle and dried fluffily. I don't want to shrink it because it's currently the perfect size for an ironing board.

It can withstand heat! Ironing is something I do quite frequently
4/5

Quite a bit, to be sure. I not only iron shirts (oh, how we adore cotton shirts), but I also sew a lot - That means you'll be ironing as much as you'll be sewing. br>br>With a lifetime- I've gone through a lot of ironing board covers, despite using distilled water in a spray bottle and a dry iron. To be fair, I have a metal, sturdy, and large ironing board that I purchased over 35 years ago. br>br>I've been ironing a lot of clothes since I put this new cover on my ironing board. I'm not a fan of the lack of a drawstring to secure the elastic around the underside, but the true test will come when I'm ironing large pieces of fabric. br>br>Ironed a large quilt top, then a four-piece quilt top. Fabric is 108" wide and comes in a yard piece. Because it didn't have a draw string securing it underneath, I was certain that dragging it over the cover would lift it up and ripple it across the top. My assumptions were incorrect. This cover was extremely well-knit and stayed in place. This cover withstood the test of time after being ironed on the cotton/linen setting for well over an hour. br>br>I was impressed. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it didn't fit perfectly snugly around the top (narrow) section of my ironing board, which can be a real pain when ironing yokes, sleeves, and other small items. But not enough to send it back because it's so much nicer (and cheaper) than the covers I've bought locally.

I purchased this cover after reading positive reviews about its thickness
3/5

I purchased this cover after reading positive reviews about how thick the included pad is. The pad is very thin, and the diamond pattern from the ironing board is transferred to the shirt/pants that I'm ironing from the heat of the iron. Those reviews were written a few years ago, and it appears that the manufacturer has lowered its standards and is making just another cheap product.

The iron board cover is of good quality
3/5

I've had this ironboard cover for about three months now, and it's always had a problem fitting my board correctly from the start! My ironing board is a standard size, and whenever I open it to iron, the pad falls off and I have to reattach it. Also, when I iron the cottons, I use distilled water in my iron, and if this gets on the pad, the colors red and pink mix, resulting in huge pink spots all over the pad! The pad cover is terrible! I'd never buy another one like it, let alone through Amazon. My previous covers were good for at least two years! This item is defective and of low quality! When will you, the manufacturers, improve your quality and demand better-made products?.

Look at what you've done: The original cover still worked fine, but I'd never been a fan of the design, so I was delighted to come across this new, colorful cover with a light/white background

Fit: br>br>Size: br>br>Size: br>br>Size Because some people complained that the pad wasn't thick enough, I simply slipped it over the original and it fit perfectly; it's not too bulky, but it's a nice thickness. If I removed the original cover, I'm not sure if it would feel too thin. I'm going to leave that cover alone because it was more difficult to get on (strings, etc. ). br>br>Application: br>br>Application: br>application: application: Clothing is easily rotated and sets nicely on the cover. br>br>Durability: br>br>Affordability: br>br>Afford I'm unable to respond to this because I've only had it for one day. 2 weeks. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> I am pleased with my choice and would strongly advise others to do the same.

Where do you place the cover's pointed area? Where you place the cover's pointed area over the pointed end - Because the sides aren't even wide enough to fit under the ironing board, the binding appears to be for 4 people
3/5

The width on the pointed end is too narrow to curve under the board, so it needs to be 5" wide before it can curve under it. I bought it because of some positive reviews, but I'm now rethinking my decision. Unfortunately, quality control has declined dramatically in today's businesses:.

WARNING: This ironing board cover has a beautiful pattern that I can't seem to keep it on the board
3/5

The thickness is perfect, and it has a nose pocket, but there is nothing else to keep the cover attached to the ironing board. When I first got it three months ago, it appeared to have some elasticity to it, and it fit loosely but stayed for the most part; now there is no way to keep it on the board, so it will be a waste of money unless they make some modifications. So resist the allure of the whimsical pattern. Just passing along my thoughts.

I'm already disappointed, but I'm not going to return the ironing
3/5

I'm already disappointed, but I'm not going to return the ironing board cover. Even though it's new, it's not as tight as the one I'd been using for the past two decades, so it'll probably become too loose to use soon. Because of the way it's made, you'll need to tug at the edges and smooth it out because it has a tendency to ripple. The clothes will wrinkle, of course, if the cover isn't tight and flat. The texture of the fabric also makes gliding difficult. It's a lovely design, but it's not practical.

Wrinkles, get out of here! This ironing board cover is absolutely gorgeous! LOVE IT! It's fantastic - I can't say enough about it
5/5

The pattern is whimsical, and the stretch cord is a nice touch. The thick, sewn-in top pocket fit my cheapie Walmart ironing board *perfectly*, and the thick, sewn-in bottom pocket fit my cheapie Walmart ironing board *perfectly* as well. The in fiber pad is far superior to the flimsy foam pads that shift around. a number of When you're ironing, you don't want to slide around. br>br>I also threw it in the washer right out of the package because I was afraid the dye from the bright colors would run if I used spray starch on the fabric. It was a dream to get out of the dryer. The fiber pad remained in place, and the colors remained vivid. I didn't even bother to try to run. br>br>This is without a doubt one of my most favorite Amazon purchases.
