Cotton covers are terrible for moving material around (they don't slide) and they wrinkle underneath over time!!
It's about a quarter-inch thick, according to my calculations. The old padding was left on the board, so it's nice and thick now. The silicone coating is silky smooth, allowing the iron to easily glide over it. Cut off the white straps because I have some metal ironing board hooks that grab the cover from underneath. It now has a very tight fit.
I measured the length from edge to edge and it fits perfectly.
Not foam. Fiber? I think

I recently replaced an ironing board cover that had seen better days. My ironing board is almost antique (it's an old fold-up wooden board that belonged to my mother). It most likely dates from the 1930s). It's a little bigger than the dimensions listed in the description, and I was about to return it when I stretched and stretched and squeezed another inch out of it. It lasts a long time, even when I'm impatient and overfill my iron with water, causing it to spill. Without getting the cover wet, the water is easily wiped away. I also find that items I iron glide more easily over the board; however, I'm not sure how many people will read this because the number of women I know who still iron is quite small!.
Upgrades. I'm starting to feel a little old now that I've received my Epica ironing board cover. It's fantastic, in fact, it's epic-level fantastic. It's a sight to behold. I've used irons that produce a lot of steam to get rid of wrinkles; Presses, starch, no starch, water, no water, angry stares, and a bag of middle fingers have all been used. I've tried everything to make ironing go more smoothly. Ironing would appear to be easier if you were ambidextrous. Switching hands is faster, but what do you do if you don't have the proper tools? And it never occurred to me that the COVER of my ironing board might be a problem. I assumed that all covers were the same, so I didn't bother to look into it. br>br>BUT WAIT, gentlemen and ladies, the last letter in my acronym is about to change. for it to be properly maintained at all times Smooth is in session, and Epica has taught me a very valuable lesson. I guess I'm confessing, and though I upgraded my iron, Epica is also a true blessing. I have an attitude about everything I do, and improving my loveliness isn't just for me: It's also for youNo matter what you wear, you shouldn't have a wrinkleCare enough to add some sprinkle to always ensure your ensemble blissfully twinklesFitting like a glove, Epica literally fits like a gloveWhether you want creases or not, Epica literally fits like a glove you really have They've covered your ironing board for a small fee, and it shows that they care about you. meAnd their low, low price comes with a two-year warranty, so for a small amount of money, you can get a two-year warranty. coverage ensures that it is unquestionably a win-win situation. Epica is all about keeping it smooth, and you won't be disappointed. br>Without a doubt, you won't be disappointed.
Thank you for contacting me and inquiring about my opinion. I bought them on Amazon because I was impressed by the positive feedback from buyers. I'm excited to put it to use. I was under the impression that I was purchasing directly from the manufacturer in order to ensure that the item was authentic. When I received the item, however, I was immediately disappointed by the INFERIOR QUALITY (e. g. , thin, poor fit) and the packaging cover-up. very DIFFERENT from the one seen on Amazon eg did not show 100% 2year WARRANTY, and did not show 100% 2year WARRANTY, and did not show 100% 2year WARRANTY, and did a lot more information As a result, I've come to the conclusion that it's NOT GENUINE. Many RELIABLE internet sources warned of fake, COUNTERFEIT products, including those sold on Amazon, particularly by third-party sellers such as yourself. Returning is inconvenient for all three of us, and I understand that. the purchaser (me), and Amazon I returned it to the seller (you) because I despise waste. I'm in desperate need of an ironing board cover of excellent quality. I hope this makes sense to you.
I bought a Checkys Deals Silver Silicone Metallic Wide Top 18" X 48" - just over six months ago. Amazon offers a 49" ironing board cover with a thick 6mm PAD. It's a lovely ironing board cover, and I'm pleased with it. One of my cats thought the ironing board would be a good place to clean her claws, so she poked several holes in it. Any flaw in the cover had nothing to do with the damage. Kevlar, I'm not sure, would have gotten away unscathed. I tried ironing the damaged cover but realized I'd have to replace it because the iron got caught in the holes. I returned to Amazon and decided to look through all of the silicone coated covers that were available, and I came across this one. I ordered it because it received more positive feedback than the Checkys cover. I believe the Epica is the superior of the two because:
1. The padding on this cover is thicker than on the Checkys cover.
2. It slid over the old cover, adding additional padding. To use the Checkys cover, I had to take off the old one.
3. The cover is held in place by two velcro straps. I added two more Dritz fasteners, but I'm not sure they're necessary. There are no straps on the Checkys cover, so it moves around. On the Checkys, the Dritz straps were difficult to use, but on the Epica, they worked perfectly. br>br>The Epica cover is simply superior in terms of overall quality. The one piece of advice I would give to anyone purchasing this cover is to install it nose end first, as there is more material at the nose of the cover, which makes it nearly impossible to install the wide end first. br>br>This cover is still going strong in June 2021!.
I got a piece of garbage in the mail. This is a Han Han, made in China, piece of junk, not an Epica iron board cover. It is 2- inches too short for a standard 54-inch tall person There are no elasticized edges or Velcro straps as advertised; instead, it has a flimsy string that you are supposed to cinch down and tie but can't because it's too short; it's advertised as generously sized, ha! If the kite string doesn't break, you might be able to fit your ironing board if it's made of 1/4-inch plywood. This is the worst item I've ever bought on Amazon, and I waited 15 days for it to arrive. Be wary of the buyer!.
