Questions & Answers

Is it possible to fill the fill compartment with ice?

Yes, you can, and I do it all the time: remove the back filters, pour in the ice, replace the filters, and fill with water.

What's the deal with the squealing?

Mine is a peaceful place. br>A sequel is typically a bearing that fails.

Will the dampness/humidity cause any damage to the furniture and/or electronics?

I've had my cooler for about a month and so far there has been no damage to my furniture or electronics. If you don't have an open window or door close by, the humidity will rise to dangerously high levels. We had to learn this the hard way. Before going to bed, my husband turned on the air conditioner but shut all the doors and windows. Without a doubt, with the humidity in our house the next morning, it should have rained.

What is the distinction between a mc61v and a mc61a?

The oscillation is present in both. The only difference was that one had a fixed front grill and the other had front vanes that could be adjusted.

4/5

The delivery was two days late, but that is to be expected. Old Dominion Freight was responsible for the delivery of this unit. UPS is notorious for being harsh with packages, so I was relieved to learn that this was being handled by a different delivery company. The box was still battered, and I could tell a lot of weight had been stacked on top of my Cooler by the crushed bottom styrofoam packing. I didn't notice any physical damage to the product, and there were no leaks after I filled it with water. br>br>The unit does not come with a GFCI cord adapter plug (as shown in the product photo)! I'd return it to the seller for a unit with a GFCI, but the seller makes it clear that if you return it, you'll be responsible for the delivery costs. br>br>I unpacked the unit, primed it, and had it up on my patio in a matter of minutes, thanks to the instructional video. I also bought a quick connect fitting for the hose connection and connected the unit to the garden hose. I was impressed by the colling effect on the patio and moved the unit inside. The outside temperature was 2093 degrees with 7% humidity. An Evaporative Cooler would be ideal in these conditions! The temperature was around 70 degrees when I got out of the cooler. Inside, it's a lot noisier, but what a difference! If I leave it in the house, I'll probably save hundreds of dollars per month on A/C. The cooling media has a slight chemical odor, but I had also purchased an antibacterial additive to help with the initial odor. br>br>Overall, I am pleased with the product; I would prefer a GFCI adaptive cord, but I have ensured that it is plugged into a GFCI protected outlet. I was disappointed to discover that I could have bought this at a local hardware store for a lower price and received it sooner. My niece commented that it looks like an eyesore on the patio (which we have), but the cooling effect will outweigh any aesthetic concerns. Due to the misrepresentation of the GFCI cord, I'm sticking with my 4-star rating.

MC61V
5/5

I had a problem with the float valve after I received my unit. I contacted the company where I buy from, and they took care of it quickly. This is a better version of the MC37V. My 660-square-foot garage, which has been insulated, is where I detail cars. I live in Arizona, and the heat inside a garage during the summer is unbearable. I have the MC37V, which has a 930 square foot capacity. If I open my side door, close the unit in front of it, and close the garage door, it will be about 6-degrees outside. In 110 degree heat, 10 inches will keep the garage at around 90 degrees. I occasionally use a second fan to help circulate the air. For me, it's not quite comfortable enough. I upgraded to this MC61V for coverage of 1,600 square feet. My 660 square foot garage is ideal for the MC61V. In extreme heat, it can cool down to the mid-80s, and the fan is significantly more powerful than the MC37V. I found it easiest to run the machine by watching Hessaire videos on YouTube, and tipping the box upside down when you receive it to put the wheels on first helps a lot. Aside from that, it's almost ready to use. Scaling is a problem in the desert because of the extremely hard water. I've found that purchasing the Portacool Hard Water Treatment Bars on Amazon is the only way to get some relief. So far, they've proven to be effective. Every 30 days, I replace it as per the manufacturer's instructions. I received a box containing four of them. The main difference between the two units is that the MC61V has two screws in the top back and the panel is split in half, making it very easy to remove the back panel and the elements when cleaning or replacing them. These are ideal for hot, dry environments. We do get monsoon weather, and these coolers don't cool as well when the humidity is high. However, when the weather is hot and dry, these are a must! I hope this information is useful.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the hose if you leave it connected!   The continuous fill is faulty, despite the fact that it is only 3 weeks old

It was fortunate that I had it in my warehouse rather than my home, because otherwise it would have flooded. I forgot to turn off the unit overnight, and when I returned to my warehouse the next morning, the floor was flooded. I didn't photograph it the first time, but I just happened to notice it doing it again and caught it. If it wasn't for that, everything would be fine. I'll have to keep an eye on it now to make sure it doesn't overflow or dry out. One of the main reasons I bought it was to fill it manually, which I now have to do.

These fans were fantastic, and our Lifesavers, who work in a very hot steel building, would buy them again without hesitation.

MC61V MC61V MC61V MC61V MC61V MC61V MC61 The power plug is not the GFCI as shown in the pictures, as other reviews have pointed out. The second Hessaire I've used appears to be a system where each power control is independent, i. e. the water pump on/off switch only controls the water pump, and the fan will continue to run even if the water pump is turned off. The same can be said for the control of side-to-side louvers. br>br>Slightly taller than the previous model, thanks in part to the large casters. The autofill/float system appears to shut off water input when the internal reservoir is about half full, resulting in a lighter mass than our previous similar unit, which filled to the top before shutting off. Water is evenly distributed across the filter media, and the fan is as loud as similar-sized models, but with a slightly lower pitch and a less harsh tone. br>br>Let's hope it continues.

Hello…
3/5

Where can I find a Customer Service Representative? I'm bothered by the fact that the unit was delivered in a condition that suggested it had been used after spending nearly $800, and all of the literature included instructs the customer to contact HessAire - Despite this, there is no Customer Support contact information in the delivery literature or on the company's website!! Only a form for HessAire to contact you is available on the company website! br>br>Are you serious? There's even a stop sign on the insert. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE, READ THIS. . . . It shows a cute picture of a phone and a picture of a Customer Service Representative, but never the actual phone number, only an illusive reference to someone who can be reached. That's a risky stance for the company to take.
