Hessaire MC18V Portable Evaporative Cooler, Green, 1300 CFM, Cools 500 Square Feet

It's been fantastic. Of course, we haven't had the opportunity to put it to the test on a particularly hot day, but I will say this. br>With my husband's company, we travel throughout Nevada. We tow our camper to the town where he's working and stay until he has to move on to the next mine; the camper's air conditioner seized, and the repairman said we needed a new one. Rather than buying a new overhead, we decided to give this a shot. br>The hottest day we've had so far has been 85 degrees. Unless you're in a tin box, today isn't so hot. It stayed a chilly 65 inside with the air conditioner set to low. br>This is Nevada heat, so it's a dry heat, and from what I've read, it's best for that situation. br>Because our camper has two doors, I installed an air conditioner in one and opened the back door with a fan pointed out through the screen. The camper was cold from top to bottom. There are three settings: pump only, high and low with pump on, and high and low fan only. It blows fairly hard, but not in an obnoxious manner. It's not obnoxious, but it's noticeable. The casters work fine, and when the room is empty, they work even better. The water compartment is a little difficult to get into, but not enough to be a deal breaker. It has a jug filling port on one side and a hose hookup on the other, as well as a fitting and washers. It can accommodate up to four people. 5 gallons of water, with the added benefit of being able to add essential oil drops. br>It's a bit big and takes up a lot of space. I haven't had to use it at night because, even in the middle of summer, northern Nevada can be quite chilly at night. br>Overall, I think it was a great buy, and I would buy it again. br>We're expecting a 95-degree day next week, so I'll update my review after that. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> It worked perfectly even though it was 96 degrees outside. We had to add water twice instead of once, but we stayed as cool as cucumbers the rest of the time. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> It keeps things tolerable when the temperature reaches 106 degrees. It isn't particularly cold, so you must be proactive in closing your blinds and closing the door. Also, if you're going to buy something, you might as well buy an algaecide now and start using it right away. It's a long way back once things get funky.

Before you buy and leave a bad review, make sure you know what a Swamp Cooler is. If you live east of the Rockies, you're likely to be unhappy in the North West as well. A Swamp Cooler is primarily for the Southwest, with very low humidity except during monsoon season. In comparison to most other places, it has a low humidity level. Place the Small Refreezable ICE Blocks in the compartment on the side. They're a perfect match. It may be a pain to remove them because you must unscrew the two screws on the back panel, but putting them back in is simple. Pulls 7. On solar, 1 amp is used. With full Sun, I only use three 100-watt panels.

Because we are on the corner, the sun shines down heavily on the building at certain times of the day, causing the bricks to heat up like a brick oven. I purchased this one for my business. Because it is a salon and we have heated equipment running, I keep two air conditioners on at all times. When it's really hot, we turn off the lights and turn off the equipment when we're not using it. This cooler aids in the cooling down of any hot air in the salon. I circulate the cooler air with fans as well. It works extremely well; if you disable it, you will immediately notice the difference. Many people have asked about the unit because they can feel the cool air coming from it. When it is extremely humid outside, you will not experience the same cooling effect as when the humidity is low, but the difference is still noticeable. The only drawback to this unit is that it sucks up a lot of water quickly because it is so powerful and I use it on high. I'm only able to go up to number six. Without adding any more water, the timer will be set for 8 hours. If you work an 8-hour day, you'll need to fill it up with about 4 gallons of water every day. There is a garden hose attachment on the side of the unit if you want to use it outside in your yard, so you'll never run out of water. This is by far the best evaporative cooler I've ever purchased, and I'm looking forward to early Fall and late Spring when I'll be able to simply open my windows and turn it on instead of turning on the air conditioners. It's very sturdy, and you can put ice right in the water opening. I've noticed no increase in my electric bill as a result of using it.

In hotter climates, this works well as a cooler. I live in Colorado, where the humidity can be very high or very low. When the air is humid, it is less effective, but when it is dry, it is fantastic. You must also ensure that the room in which you set it up has adequate air flow. It's in my room now, and I've also adopted a cat. I initially decided to keep the cat out of my room, but the lack of air flow made the cooler ineffective (it trapped moisture in the room, reducing cooling efficiency and causing problematic moisture levels (I was receiving USB moisture warnings on my phone). As a result, I opened the door, resolving both issues. On more humid days, it still performs admirably, but on hot, dry days, it shines.

I'm in Arizona, so it's scorching hot. One room remains cool as a result of this arrangement. Because it is portable, half of the day can be spent in the den and the other half in the bedroom. My entire house cooler has broken down, so I'm forced to use it as an emergency backup. In less than a day, I received it. We know things don't arrive from Florida to Arizona, so this was a true God-given miracle. It didn't happen in a single day, but it did. This thing probably saved our lives until we could find a whole house cooler (which is in short supply due to the heatwave, so we're grateful for it). The ones that are advertised on television do not work, but this one does.

These were purchased in pairs. I live in a dry desert climate, so this product isn't very good. If they add too much humidity to the area, nothing will cool down. Rooms become humidified and hot. These are a complete waste of money.
