This is what I'm using to cool my computer down
3/5

I was planning on purchasing a chiller for my computer, but the Koolance chiller EXC- Because an investment of $800 is prohibitively expensive, I chose to cool my computer with this chiller. Although my PC is already water cooled, the CPU (7900x) has been overclocked to 4. 6 GHz and GPU (20180 ti) are known to produce a great amount of heat especially during gaming where both CPU and GPU are used more than 80%. So, I simply connected a pipe from my ekwb pump to the Chiller, and then from the Chiller to the GPU, where it passes through the CPU and existing radiators before returning to the Pump. As a result, setting it up was fairly simple. Previously, my CPU temperature was around 82 degrees Celsius and my GPU temperature was around 60 degrees Celsius. My CPU now runs at 58 degrees Celsius, and my GPU at 35 degrees Celsius, which is a significant improvement. I have the ability to overclock them even more. br>br>However, the reason I'm giving it three stars is because of (1) noise. It makes more noise than a typical refrigerator, but I don't mind because I wear headphones. (2) It was unable to cool the water below 68 degrees Fahrenheit. I tried lowering the temperature of the water even lower to see how much improvement I could get, but it couldn't go below 68 degrees Fahrenheit. In any case, it's a good low-cost option. br>br> Chiller is a low-cost way to get started with PC gaming.

Great product, but the package markings need to be improved because the shipper abuses them
5/5

The unit itself is fantastic; however, the box was labeled "heavy," but there were no "this side up" or "fragile" stickers on the outside, and the front cover was dislodged, and the collars around the bottom of In and Out were loose and needed to be tightened. When I returned home from work after running the machine for 12 hours, the temperature had not changed. I pulled the front cover all the way off that had become dislodged, and an object that looked like a large capacitor on a plate was loose and out of place. I plugged in a two-pin connector that sits behind this plate and capacitor, and the unit has worked perfectly since then. In the future, the vendor, in my opinion, should do two things: Stick a note on the outside of the amazon box stating that it is a fragile unit and that it should be delivered "this side up" because it was lying on its side on my front porch when I returned home from work. It was handled roughly enough during shipping to dislodge that item, which resulted in the front panel being pushed open and the compressor's part function being unplugged. I'm still giving it five stars because it works great once it's been repaired from shipping.

I bought it to cool down our 54 gallon corner fish tank, and it's an amazing product
5/5

Before I got it, the temperature was hovering around 79°F, which was too hot for my fish. br> This thing is a beast; it fits under the tank in the stand and requires a pump, which I recommend using with the black vinyl hose. br> Because it is heavy, lift it straight out of the box with assistance when you receive it. Maintain its upright position at all times. It's essentially a refrigerator's cooling system. br>Once you've got it out, make sure you put the output and input attachment pieces in place; there are two sizes. Make sure they're securely fastened, and keep in mind that they're made of plastic. Use two hose clamps for each attachment when installing the hose. Basically, you'll need to connect everything in the bathroom. In a tub or a large pan, place the pump. Refill the tub or pan with the output. Connect the thermometer probe to the probe of the thermometer. Check for leaks after turning on the unit. Allow it to run for a few minutes to ensure proper cooling. Install it where you need it once there are no leaks and everything is working. br>******Warning***
If you're going to use it for a fish tank, make sure you cool it down slowly. Every 24 hours, it's like gaining a degree. The compressor turns off once the water has reached the desired temperature. br> It's simple to use and does wonders. The following are the drawbacks: br>
1. I expected it to be a little louder, but it wasn't too bad. Probably not as much as the majority of ultra-quiet dishwashers.
2. It'll be more difficult than I anticipated, but it'll be worthwhile.

This is fantastic! This chiller is incredibly effective
5/5

It's a breeze to set up and keeps my axolotls' 50 gallon lowboy tank cool. It'll be up and running on two computers very soon. br>In the first photo, please excuse all of my cords; they are now hidden behind the curtains I made. br>br>I purchased the 1/4 scale model.

After a little elbow grease, it works great
4/5

as well as some genuine grease So, once you've worked out all the kinks, this thing is pretty awesome. When I first set it up, I followed all of the instructions exactly and still had water leaks no matter how hard I cranked those fittings. I finally plugged it in and turned it on after tightening it with giant pliers to the point where I could dry what leaked with a towel instead of a shop vac. My test bucket's temperature was accurately read by it. And you did an excellent job of heating it up, lol. br>br>I decided to get off the front after about twenty minutes of cussing. When a large piece of the compressor fell off the side while I was shining my flashlight around, a huge piece fell off. what? Take a look at the "compressor starter capacitor" side of the package. That appears to be significant. I snapped it back to its original position, and! bam! Unlocking the power of cooling I also noticed that the control board's cable harness with connector was strung up right below my leaking in/out fittings, so I moved it out of the way and zip tied it. That's a bad location. br>br>Once I was sure it was working, I used high vacuum grease to coat the threads and fittings. There will be no leaks any longer! br>br>As a result, this item arrived with serious flaws, which is likely the source of the majority of the negative feedback. Apply high vacuum grease (petroleum jelly works in a pinch) to your fittings if they're leaking. Check to see if the compressor starter capacitor has fallen out and snap it back into place if your chiller isn't cooling. A phillips screwdriver, grease, and some Q-Tips were all I needed to fix this. Grease the backside of the rubber stoppers on the fittings with these tips. br>br>I'm still giving it four stars because the current asking price of $320 for the 1/4 HP model is ridiculously low and less than the 1/10 HP model. If you're even a little handy, you can repair this very simple device and get a lot of use out of it. The capacitor could come loose at any time, but if it stops cooling, I'll know why and be able to fix it in a matter of seconds. It works so well for my 10 gallon tank that it only turns on for 30 seconds at a time. Overkill. But why should you pay more for something that you don't need?.
