How long would it blow cool air if the tank was filled with cold water and ice?

I kept ice water in gallon jugs in the refrigerator. It can accommodate up to seven people. It holds 9 gallons of water and can humidify cold air for up to 48 hours without needing to be refilled.

What happened to the tank's low-water warning?

Yes, it beeps and then shuts down the pump when the water level drops too low.

Is it possible for the fan to automatically oscillate/rotate from side to side, or can it only do so vertically?

Hello, the louvers are programmed to automatically move from left to right. To switch to vertical air flow, you can manually adjust the louvers. For the money, this is the best cooler available
5/5

I was disappointed when I first received this cooler because I had purchased freezer packs only to discover that the machine refills from a small drawer in the back. However, my disappointment dissipated as soon as I filled it with chilled water and turned it on. WOW, for the price, this is the best evaporator cooler I've ever had, and it took care of my large living room, which couldn't cool down quickly enough in the summer. I live in Arizona, and my apartment was designed to keep me warm in the winter, but when the sun hits my large window at 5 a. m. , it turns into a summer nightmare. 30 a. m. , and continues to warm the room until sunset later that evening. I have central air conditioning, but it struggles in the summer, and at least one breakdown occurs every summer. I tried blackout curtains and fans, but they only provided a brief respite from the heat. Last summer, I used a small cooler, the kind you'd find in the "as seen on TV" aisles of a store. It was great for a while, but it died quickly, so I knew I needed something better for the following summer. It had to be this cooler! I turn it off overnight, and because it's so cold, it radiates a cooling effect that keeps the room at a comfortable temperature. No more escaping the heat of the living room by fleeing to my air-conditioned bedroom at night. I can stay comfortable because the air conditioner does not have to work as hard. This model appears to be in such high demand that finding one is difficult. For my brother's room, I had to purchase a different model from a different company because it gets stuffy and does not work as well! And those freezer packs didn't go to waste; I used them in the second machine, which has a slide-out water tank that proved to be more difficult to manage. So after using both machines, I can confidently state that this one is the clear winner. I devised a few strategies to ensure that the cold air continued to be emitted. I keep it in front of my kitchen's open doorway, where it can get plenty of air. It works best with cross ventilation, so I only fill the ice cube trays halfway. They freeze faster and fit in the tank's opening, so I put a few in when I refill it. I also have a few re-useables on hand. liter/1 water bottles were used. In the fridge, a 5-liter bottle of tap water. They chill well and are easier to pour into than a pitcher. Because of the shallow pipes, water comes out of the tap hot this time of year, so I have to chill it anyway. I don't babysit it, but I do make sure to refill it before it gets down to the bare minimum, if only to add a few ice cubes to keep the water cool. Because my living room is quite large, I also have a couple of fans that swirl and push the air around. A smaller room may not require this, but I prefer to have plenty of air circulation. Regardless, even without additional fans, you can stay cool all day if you keep small ice cubes and chilled water on hand.

A fan that costs a lot of money
3/5

In order for an evaporative cooler to work, very hot air must be sucked in. It draws hot air through a filter that has water running through it; as the hot air is drawn in, the water evaporates, resulting in a cooling effect; however, if the air being drawn in is room temperature, it will not cool. It will only expel air that is at room temperature. That's why so many swamp coolers are mounted on the roof of a house, sucking in the hottest air. The hotter the air it takes in, the cooler the air it blows out, because it evaporates more quickly. As a result, this piece of scum DOES NOT WORK. and isn't meant to function.

Excellent purchase
4/5

So far, this has been a fantastic cooler. I previously bought an indoor evaporative cooler from a different brand, and it never worked properly from the start. And today, that hulking piece of junk serves only as a fan that no longer oscillates. This Honeywell Cooler, on the other hand, is lightweight, simple to operate, and does the job well. Anyone interested in this type of cooling method should be cautious and do their homework. If certain conditions outside and inside your home are not met, this cooler will not function properly. You'll need to open the windows in the room you're using this in, and you'll need to live in a low-humidity area if you don't want your Space to get too hot. And I stressed the word "space" because this isn't meant to cool your entire house. When you use this cooler, however, you can feel as if you're sitting in the living room, standing in the kitchen, or lying in bed, enjoying a cool island breeze off the ocean. However, if you want to get the most out of this, you'll need drier air and plenty of ventilation in your space. You must open your windows; this is not an air conditioner in which you must close your windows tightly to keep the cold air inside. Consider it a pleasant breeze on a warm spring day. And set realistic expectations; if the outside temperature is in the triple digits, this will keep you reasonably cool, but don't expect miracles from a fan and some water. Purchase an A if you want a cooling miracle. Unit.

Excellent product; I put iced water in the water tank, which cools and humidifies the air in my room

I like it a lot, but I'm curious as to why it has so few reviews.

Setup is a breeze
5/5

It was simple to assemble this cooler. It blew cool air quickly, but not quickly enough to cool a large open family room. I gave it a five because I believe it would work well in a small office or bedroom.

This is not a viable solution
3/5

This unit does not, in fact, cool the air. We used a portable room thermometer and found that the air temperature was the same whether the "cooler" was turned on or not, even after an hour of use. Even with the door and window cracked open, however, it made the room uncomfortably humid. Maybe I'm missing something about how a swamp cooler works. Window-mounted swamp coolers, on the other hand, have proven to be far more effective. This is just wimpy in my opinion; even the fan component moves air less efficiently than a standard fan. As a result, I gave it back.
