This is for my bedroom. I got it a few weeks ago. There has been a lot of dust in the air ever since a major spring cleaning sent dust flying from every book and crevice. In reading the setup guide, I saw that it couldn't be within a 15-inch radius of an obstruction on any side, so I placed it near my laundry hamper and bedroom. My room smelled better within a day than it had before the laundry was in it (I had apparently gone nose blind to the smell), but the air quality had not improved. As a matter of fact, dust seemed to be floating more than usual. Over the next few weeks, I noticed that if I brought a cup of water to my room, within a few hours, it would get little dust floaters on top. I can't believe how bad the Customer services is! Over the course of 3 weeks, it worked well. It was hard to tell quite how much it improved the air quality in my bedroom, but I was going to give it a try anyway. On the other hand, I turned it on one day to run it, but it wouldn't begin to run. I sent an email to Levoit using the email address listed in the warranty information. First, the company offered to send me a new one, however, once they had my order number, they did not bother to contact me again. A few weeks later, I sent another email asking them if they sell Amazon products. They replied they do not deal with Amazon. Furious is the best word to describe my feelings. Fortunately, Amazon has helped me out, but it is a bit unfair for Levoit to advertise this product as having a 2 year warranty if they will not honor it or help anyone who purchases it Do not buy this product. My ferret was in my room and I bought this item to help with the pet odor. I clean the cage/room twice a day. I have bought this product and it does not eliminate or reduce the smell. Initially, I thought it would take a few days for it to completely dry A few days after running this, now I get this burning smell coming from it and I don't know what's causing it. My screening unit was in good working order and no malfunctions were found, but a distinct burning smell came from it that caused me to turn it off. This smell is not something I want inhaling by my pet. I have no idea where the sound is coming from, particularly since I have no idea where it originates. The box was too much of a hassle to return, and I already threw it away. I clean the room every two or three hours, and I still have an odor. As a last resort, I purchased this product. Despite its size and weight, kitties could bounce on this toy like they were on springs. I have to admit that I am incredibly surprised by how well I couldn't figure out what to do when my husband's nose was so sensitive. into the room now and is astonished to find that there is no odor.
