The AP-Coway is an acronym that stands for "Application Processor." No ozone is produced by the 1512HH Mighty Air Purifier. It isn't equipped with an ionizer. The other responses that say it does or that it does when the ionizer is turned on appear to be referring to a different model, which Amazon has grouped together with the Mighty in its wisdom.
It includes one HEPA filter (estimated to last one year) and one carbon filter (estimated to last six months). However, based on user feedback, the filter tends to last longer than expected.
Yes, it does get rid of PM2. a total of five particles PM 2. The number 5 is right in the sweet spot for HEPA filters. 99.9% of contaminants are removed by using a HEPA filter. 97% of all articles are in the top 200. 3 micrometers, as well as PM2. The number 5 is close to two. This would be very effective at doing so, as it would only take 5 micrometers. This is true of all HEPA filters, so there's nothing unique about this one.
It helps me circulate well, particularly in the winter. I use it to transfer heat from one end of the room to the other, as well as into my unheated kitchen. Because it only draws inward horizontally at speed 1 or 2, it is quiet and does not give the impression of a draft. It's near the entrance to my kitchen, between the living and dining rooms, both of which have a heater on the far end. It distributes the heat evenly throughout my entire first floor. While doing so, you'll also be cleaning the air! I'm planning on getting a second one to put upstairs. My bathroom is located in the middle of the second floor, between the bedrooms. In the summer, running the Coway in my bathroom keeps the cool air from my bedroom windows circulating through the bathroom. In addition, every bathroom could benefit from the additional ventilation, odor elimination, and dander control.

In January of this year, I bought three of these units. They were working fine until one of them began to make a bothersome and concerning rattling noise, after which the LED light remained RED regardless of the setting I used. This machine has been cleaned several times, and the filters have been replaced when the filter replacement indicator has lit up. This machine is obviously defective. br>br>Worse, the manufacturer gave me the runaround. It's been more than a week since we've seen each other. They made me run some tests on it and send them a video with sound to prove that it was indeed defective, and then they told me I needed to return it to them in its original box so that their "lab" could run some more tests on it. Who keeps an original box for more than six months? If I did, I'd need more space just to store the boxes because I buy a lot of things on Amazon. br>br>Anyway, I just wanted to make everyone aware that this company will go to great lengths to avoid honoring its warranty.
In November, I purchased an open box from an Amazon warehouse with the following description: "like new, product will be in original packaging, box is damaged. " All of the plastic was still attached to it, and the filters were still in their bags when it arrived. The initial setup was excellent, and it performed admirably for the next six months. Then one day, while my girlfriend and I were preparing dinner, we heard a terrible noise coming from the bedroom. It sounded like the cat had knocked a stack of CDs off of something at first, but it continued. We dashed into the bedroom, where the squirrelcage fan, which was disintegrating, was spewing plastic shrapnel everywhere. I dove into the room, shielding my face with a coat, and yanked the cord, dismantling it to see what had happened and documenting the damage (it's actually really well put together - (There are six screws and two plugs. ) I took pictures and contacted Coway via phone and email. They said they don't sell replacement parts and don't offer RMA because it was used and I disassembled it, so I told them that was too bad and that I wouldn't be able to recommend or justify buying another from them.
For the past four months, I've been using this air purifier. I was desperate for an air purifier at the time because my allergies were so bad that I couldn't sleep for several nights. I had done my usual amount of research, but my budget, which could only allow for $200 or less, was a major stumbling block. Coway is about to enter. It worked right away for my allergies, but I noticed how loud it was when it was running at full speed right away. I dealt with the noise because it helped clear the air until it turned on as it does when it's on auto a few days ago. It increased in speed until it reached its maximum speed, at which point it became extremely loud. It began shaking violently, smoking, and shooting plastic shards out the top vent a few moments later. It wouldn't turn off until we unplugged it. Scary situation, especially when it involves my pregnant wife. br>br>To make matters worse, I attempted to contact Coway about it but received no response. Then I tried contacting Amazon, who informed me that they were unable to assist me because it had already been four months. What am I to do now? I've been stuck with a $180 paperweight for quite some time. You get what you pay for. br>br>If you pay too much, you'll get too little. You can find air purifiers without an auto setting for less money, but if you want the auto sensing feature, spend a little more and get a good one.
I've had the product for nearly a year now. I went to adjust the fan speed today because it was on high and making a lot of noise. When I went to adjust it, the fan blades exploded, shooting sharpnel in my direction. This device could have blinded me if it hadn't been for the fact that it was a very dangerous product. I don't think it's a good idea to try it.
Completely satisfactory, but watch out for the following: The unit (as I received it) came with pre-installed software. Filters had been installed, and the machine appeared to be ready to use right away. The preinstalled filters, on the other hand, are covered with plastic. Before the unit can function properly, it must be opened from the front, the plastic covers removed, and the filters replaced.
My "bad faith" experience with Coway has left me extremely dissatisfied. Because I live in China, I require a high-speed Internet connection. I place a high value on a good air purifier. In Beijing, I had this Coway unit delivered to me. My unit began making popping noises after a few weeks, which I considered to be extremely dangerous. When I contacted customer service, I was given the following response: Thank you for your patience. br>br>I appreciate it. We sympathize with your situation; however, you have void your warranty by using the unit in China. br>br>We regret to inform you that your Coway model is only available for purchase and use in the United States and Canada. Take note of the following: The Coway's warranty will be void if it is used outside of the United States or Canada. br>br>Apart from the fine print, I ordered directly from Coway and had it delivered to me in China. There was no clear warning that this would void the warranty at any point. This, in my opinion, is in bad faith and contradicts the company's stated values as well as the CEO's public expressed desire to regain consumer trust following a 2016 product defect scandal.
While I believe the Honeywell had a higher throughput, the significant reduction in noise is a worthwhile trade-off. Replacement filters for the Conway are also much less expensive. I'd make another purchase. br>With the addition of a few strategically placed vinyl stickers, the world's largest iPod Nano (as seen in the photo) is also created.
I've had this air purifier for two and a half years and I still adore it. The filters aren't prohibitively expensive, and I don't have to replace them very often. It's extremely sensitive, and even when I'm not in the kitchen, it turns on. It's so sensitive that it's been known for a dog fart to activate it and start filtering the air. I'm not sure what else to say if that isn't a selling point. br>br>I have two purifiers, and this is by far the better of the two. The other, on the other hand, is fantastic.
