Questions & Answers

Are there any guidelines regarding the seal integrity of the hepa filter? Dust particles may get past the hepa filter, and I want to know if that is the case. ?

This barrier is formed by a small band of foam around the filter. The way the filter fits when it's placed on each line of the unit, I doubt very much dust will pass through it.

Does it say "Made in USA?" on the package?

I suspect these are not manufactured in the USA, but they seem to be good products. The company was founded making products for Korea, so I'd say the products were not made here.

Which generation does this unit belong to? Conway's website does not display the same unit as it does today... ?

According to the Conway website, this model is still updated at the time of this writing, although it appears to be It is not possible to use this model with the full mobile phone app. However, I've found it best to simply turn the air purifiers on and let them run they should be magnified when you vacuum or if there is high pollen count or other pollutant (e.g. fire).

What is the height of this unit, and can it be placed in a corner, against a ?

From the two opposite sides, the unit intakes air, and the top expel it. According to the manufacturer, you should leave a foot between each side of the unit to allow for adequate airflow, so as long as it's that far from the wall you should be fine. If the same distance is maintained, then doing so behind furniture will work.

Does a PURIFIER need to display a warning regarding Proposition 65? preface this statement by saying that I was SO EXCITED about receiving this air purifier that I It was super easy to put together once I got it
3/5

I also noticed a significant difference in my air quality due to the sound. When I did some further research on it, these units contain the California Proposition 65 warning, and not only am I currently pregnant, but I also find it hard to believe these units contain such a warning when their entire purpose is air purification. What are the benefits of putting harsh chemicals that most of us are trying to avoid by getting this?.

Do not eat or drink anything that smells bad
3/5

My first impression of the purifier was that it had an unpleasant odor - in a very short time I could smell this. There is a faint chemical, metallic, or plastic smell to it. During the time I had it running in my bedroom for about two hours, I noticed that the odor spread throughout my whole As soon as I smelt the air directly coming out of the top of the purifier, the odor was evident. While I turned off the purifier, the odor persisted and I fell that I could feel something in my throat as soon as This odor is causing my asthma to flare up, and I've been experiencing symptoms. Now it's the next morning, and at first I couldn't breathe because I could still feel it, which is awful. In addition, I ran the purifier for only two hours! I can't imagine what it would be like to run it continuously for a few days! In defense of the Airmega, I carried out a lot of research before purchasing it, and I didn't read a thing each and every time I read anything. I could not see how the unit did what I described because I do not emit ozone and it has no ionizer. Other brands do so (apparently), but this unit did not. Although you may have a completely different experience than me since you have asthma and are very sensitive to odors, I wanted to share with you what I endured since I feel so terrible right now due to this.

I appreciate your feedback, Chrisway AP In this comparison, the Mighty 1512HH versus the Airmega 400 by Coway
3/5

The top of the purifier above my cats is too tempting for them not to jump on, so I had to return it and replace it with the much cheaper Mighty. It would be fine if that were the case, but there are no triggers on any of the controls. I don't supervise my cat, and she resets filter change reminders, and the device is on when I am not watching I have presented a comparison of the two advantages in a bullet point format
Mighty- A more quiet fan, much cheaper, easy to carry around, and a fewer number of filters to change
Easy to operate
Much smaller footprint in your home, easy to cover lights with packaging tape
Mega speed fan! The filter filters more air and the build quality is much better.

This helped me save a lot of money on antihistamines and central air filters
5/5

Having my 2nd unit for the house is beginning to make me feel a little greater sense of peace! This product is wonderful for cleaning the air. If you turn the volume up to the max, it can get quite loud but it's well worth the listening time! My best friend has recently informed me that I am allergic to him. That, plus the fact that our city has terrible air quality and extreme humidity, is why we have trouble breathing. As these air purifiers are expensive, I initially purchased one for upstairs hoping that my allergy symptoms would improve. However, they worked so well that I could actually feel a difference when I went downstairs as my symptoms were worse there. Because my house is approximately 2400 square feet, the one unit never, ever stopped working at full blast while the automatic setting was engaged. The unit was on sale when we found it so we decided to get a second one for downstairs since we loved it so much. Upon starting the second unit, it immediately went full blast. But once the upstairs unit got a well deserved break, it has not needed to go beyond the 2nd highest speed. In fact, within 30 minutes of turning on the second unit downstairs, the upstairs unit is running at its lowest speed and a solid blue color. As for how much better it is, I will update you in 30 days on how much better the air is downstairs, but I can tell you that my sinuses are already feeling better and I'm able to nuzzle with my dog once again. A second benefit of switching to this system is I no longer have to change my HVAC Filters every month, but I do now every 3 months. Once they (the A/C filters) looked quite old after 30 days of use, now they look almost brand new after 90 days, which is impressive for a 16-foot ceiling. When they go on sale again next time, I will definitely buy one for my business as well. Despite the fact that I bought both of mine on sale, I would have paid full price for either of.

The impression is not that great
3/5

My ownership of this unit for over six months has allowed me to confirm that it does not produce more air than the smaller and cheaper coway model. This larger filter has a greater surface area, so it holds together between cleanings and replacements better, but as far as filtration of air is concerned, it is all the same as the smaller model at The air can be filtered 3 to 4 times more effectively if you buy several smaller units as opposed to one of these large pricier.

The cost is high, but the outcome is When you pay for quality, you get what you pay for
5/5

With high quality parts and solid construction, this purifier is made to last. Besides working fast, it is also very convenient. We are currently remodeling our kitchen. As a result, Airmega was able to control the dust and remove the strong odor associated with staining and varnishing. The idea of buying a second has crossed my mind.
