Before using the mattress, the seller advised me to let it sit flat for a day.
I'm not sure, but I think there was some information about it. Check out the manufacturer's website; I bought mine a few years ago and it's in my guest room, where it's loved by everyone who sleeps on it!
I don't believe it would be a problem to place the futon mattress on the floor. As packaged, it's extremely compressed. This will allow it to expand and breathe before being placed on the frame.

If you're shopping for a couch or a bed for growing children or light/occasional use, skip this review and buy a Haley 90 for a couch or a Haley 110 for a bed, save the money for pillows, and you're good to go. The Haleys have a lot of personality. Value-for-money, long-lasting, and comfortable mattresses that can handle anything. br>br>With that said, the Moonshadow is a fantastic mattress with a more supple feel than the Haley line at a slightly higher price point. Moonshadow has a soft techno vibe to it: It's as comfortable as the Haley 90, but with a little more support than the Haley 110. I say this after ten years of having 110 and 90 pounds on the couch and chairs, respectively. br>br>Otis mattresses are of excellent quality and have been around for a long time. Once you get into "better" and "best," they're all nice, so I'm being a little picky here: At the same price point, I prefer the Haley 90 over the Haley 110, and the Moonshadow is the most attractive of the three. It's a significant improvement over Haley's performance. br>br>As a couch mattress, I'm using my Moonshadow. It's ideal for that, as well as looking and sitting great. I'd also say it'd be a great full-time bed, though I prefer the Otis Gemini for that. If you take care of your Otis mattress, it will last a long time, so keep that in mind: They outperform most commercially available sleep mattresses in every way. The Otis Moonshadow is one of my favorite and most enjoyable products, and I highly recommend it.
My original intention was to buy this futon mattress to use as a couch that could be converted to a bed in the event that I had visitors. For almost 15 years, I've owned an Otis Moonshadow. It lasted a long time because I carefully flipped it every week, so when it was time to replace it, I looked for the same brand again. This one arrived quickly, much sooner than the seller had predicted. The seller and the brand both get five stars.

This is a fantastic bed. "This is the most comfortable Futon mattress I've ever slept on," one of our first visitors said. It's a great addition to our study/guestroom as a comfortable sitting area. I would buy this product again and recommend it to others.
I was hesitant to purchase this mattress at first, but I'm glad I did because it far exceeded my expectations. For the past six months, I've slept on it every night, and I adore how thick and plush it is. After a few months, I decided to invest in a 3" memory foam topper because I couldn't always get comfortable laying on my side, and now I feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud. If you're looking for a futon that you'll use frequently, I strongly suggest this mattress.
This is THE futon mattress to buy, in my opinion. One is a full size, and the other is a queen size; I bought the full size in 2005, and it's still going strong after years of sleeping on it with two adults - We purchased the queen size in 2013 when we upgraded to a larger bed--it still provides just the right amount of firmness and support. frame. The queen-sized version has so far performed just as well as the full-sized version. The only thing I would warn you about is this: This isn't the mattress for someone who wants to use their futon as a couch all of the time. These mattresses are heavy and difficult to fold.
