I just tried "smooshing" the ends of the cushion in to see if it's flexible enough for you...it's so dense and heavy that I'd have to say no...but if it's free returns and shipping, you could always give it a shot. Because the cushion is so large, transporting it somewhere to ship it back would be a pain—- Please accept my sincere apologies for my wishy-washy response!
It appears to be split in half. We didn't expect the back to be as high as it is. As a result, it shuts down a window that we didn't want shut down. It is, however, extremely comfortable and of excellent quality.
With this purchase, you will not receive any wood.
It can only be folded in one direction.

So far, it's been an excellent mattress. The outer cardboard shipping box was barely hanging on and completely destroyed when it arrived, but the mattress itself was in excellent condition. It arrived at 9 a. m. thanks to UPS. Saturday night, at 47 p. m. So far, everything has gone well. It's on an Ikea Beddinge frame that's been around for eight years. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> br>br>I've slept on this for a few nights now and it's amazing how comfortable it is. To go on top of it, I purchased one of these toppers from Amazon: (COONP Full Mattress Topper, Extra Thick Mattress Pad Cover, Cooling Pillowtop with 8-inch Cooling Pillowtop) The most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on is the 21-inch deep pocket 3D Snow Down Alternative Fill (Full, Grey). Both products are strongly recommended.
It took me a long time to decide on this one after a lot of scrolling and reading reviews, and I have to say, it's pretty comfy! I thought the price was fair, but the mattress's quality is outstanding! I did, however, need to let it air out for three days because there was a strong odor, which I believe was caused by the packing. But because I had to wait a few days for the futon to arrive, I didn't mind letting it air out.
This is a lovely mattress. We haven't slept on it yet, but it looks comfortable just sitting on it. The fabric is soft and appealing; we purchased the navy in the hopes of finding a greenish shade of blue, which we did! It's a fantastic shade of blue.
For the past five months, I've been sleeping on this mattress. I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews about the odor, and it was quite unpleasant. When I first got it, it was eye-wateringly bad, but I figured it'd go away with time, which it hasn't. br>br>It has a strong chemical odor to it. I'm assuming it's emitting some nasty VOCs or something because I believe it's affecting my health. My nostrils have dried out, become brittle, and are inflamed. It improved when I went on vacation for a week and left the house. But the curse fell on me again as soon as I returned home. Because I'm past the return window, I'll have to sell it or throw it out on the street in order to pass the curse on to the next person. br>br>It's a bummer because I really want to like it. It has a great design, and the hinge part makes it very convenient. It's also quite comfortable for a futon. This odor, on the other hand, is literally killing me.
Color: It's a deep teal in color. The illustration in the listing is reasonably accurate. It's not navy, though depending on the light, it appears to be. I took several photos, and as you can see, the color is a mix of teal, dark teal, and navy, depending on the lighting. This is a color that I really like. To bring this color into the room, I'll use a throw, accent pillows, and art. br>Comfort: In both the seated and bed positions, this is very comfortable, springy, and supportive. The springs that are hinged are clever and effective. However, getting it from the bed to a seated position will require two people. The fabric is extremely gentle. The springs are surrounded by a thick layer of foam. As a result, you won't be able to feel the springs. br>Price-to-Value Ratio: Yes, I believe so. It was $100 less expensive and of higher quality than the mattress it replaced. br>Improvements include: 1) Remove the cover so it can be washed; 2) Remove the plastic "buttons" in the tufted areas. To accomplish this, the cover would most likely need to be stretchy so that it can be zipped up snugly. Only because the cover isn't removable did I give it four stars. However, because of the value, comfort, and appearance of this mattress, I strongly recommend it.
Unfortunately, mine ripped just trying to adjust it on the frame two hours after I got it home. Pleats were created by cutting small holes in the fabric and threading small plastic hooks through them, so it didn't take much pressure to rip down that pre-made pleat. line should be cut even more. I'm pretty sure I can fix it, but it's a bummer. br>br>Aside from that, it has met my expectations thus far. It has a nice appearance and is cozy. However, if you don't have a thick cover, don't even think about using it.
It's extremely comfortable and stays in place- There's no need to yank it up all the time. There are only two issues: It has a strong odor that we will hopefully grow accustomed to over time. This isn't a true navy, in fact, it's not even close, but it's a blue shade.
For better support, we chose the hybrid, which also has a nice, soft fabric. Warning: Due to the additional springs, it is a two-person job. We don't sleep on it, so I'm not sure how it is for sleeping, but it's firm and very comfortable in our office. I read that some people had trouble finding hinges, but that wasn't an issue for me because it just fell into place. If you're on the fence about whether or not to buy this mattress, I'd advise you to do so. Because it wasn't available right away, the company kept me updated on delivery.
