Because of the limited reviews, I wasn't sure if it would be good when I ordered it, but we love it! Is the thickness correct? I'm not sure because I haven't taken any measurements. It is, however, thick enough to make lying and sitting on it comfortable. We primarily use ours as a couch, but it will now be used as an extra bed in the event we have unexpected guests. br>My dog enjoys lying on it, and his fur does not adhere to the fabric. The fabric has a nice look and feel to it, and it appears to be of good quality. br>The mattress appears wrinkled in my photo, which was taken the day after I received it; however, the wrinkles have since disappeared. br>Overall, I am very pleased with it and would recommend this futon mattress to anyone.
My futon mattress was the wrong color. I requested a brown mattress but received a stone color instead. I contacted the company, and they agreed to send the appropriate mattress. Fortunately, I bought the futon mattress for my son, who was fine with the color change. Pluses - The mattress is exactly what it says it is. When I took the mattress out of the plastic wrap, it expanded to its full size. There were no odors in the room. The quality of the fabric is excellent.
Support for the futon. Who'd have guessed it? So it's for a Futon couch that also serves as a bed. This isn't the best invention for sleeping AND sitting, but it's better than anything else I've tried. Our old and tired cabin mattresses couldn't help us any longer, even with the addition of 2 inches of memory foam. These have no odor, nice springs, and a 'hinge' design that prevents the back from becoming the bottom. The back is much taller with the hinge than it was with our old mattress, so sitting is much more comfortable. It can be used as a futon when it is laid flat for sleeping. I'm not sure how much better you could make it.
It arrived on time and in good condition. The color is appealing, and the fabric appears to be of good quality and will last for quite some time. lasting. I haven't had the chance to sleep on it yet, but when my daughter saw it when she got home, she looked at it, sat down on it (in the "couch" position), and promptly fell asleep (apparently it had been a long day for her). She awoke a few hours later, saying it was "very comfortable," at least for a nap.
NOTE: It has an internal "hinge," according to the instructions, that allows it to sit correctly on the frame. Some customers have complained that it doesn't fold up properly, but make sure you look for the label on the bottom. the mattress's front. That must be on the bottom and in the front of the futon; otherwise, it will not fit or fold properly.
NOT: Some speculated that it was mounted on a Kodiak frame. All I can say is that it performs admirably on our non-computerized systems. I'm not sure why a Kodiak wooden futon frame wouldn't work on any standard futon frame. "Your mileage may vary," as the saying goes. "br>br>In a nutshell, we're all pleased with it. In every way, this mattress is superior to our old "stuffed" futon mattress. better-looking, nicer-feeling fabric, and more comfortable.
It's not designed to be folded on a standard futon frame; it's designed to be folded on a kodiak frame. To lift the back half of the frame up, stand at the end of the frame and hold the mattress down in the center. If you have the type of frame that you lift from the side and then push down and in, it is EXTREMELY difficult to get it to fold.
This went above and beyond my expectations. It's sturdy, comfortable, and looks great on top of my futon. Folding is difficult, but once done, it stays put.
Very comfortable, this is my third futon in three years, but if it lasts, it will be the best. There is no odor, and the hinge makes it simple to put together and sit in. Because the back is high, it is possible to rest your head on it, which is not possible with most futon mattresses. If it lasts a few years, I'll give it a five-star rating.
I placed an order for an 8" full futon mattress. I let it rise for 24 hours after receiving it, and it only reached a height of 7". Very dissatisfied because the description stated "8" and I did not receive this!.
