THIS. Shikibuton is a Japanese word that means "to be able to For those who prefer to sleep on the floor, this is a dream come true! For the past three years, I've been sleeping on the floor and have finally decided to purchase a shikibuton. I figure that if I'm going to spend the time, effort, and money to make one, I might as well buy one. Allow Japan to do it! ) The package was in excellent condition when it arrived. I thank you note with Japanese symbols and a lovely flower paper origami crane were also included. I let mine air out for the day in a sunny room in my house. I then fell asleep on the cushioned floor for the first time and awoke feeling fantastic. I didn't even think I needed a pillow! The shikibuton is well-made, with a consistent quilting pattern, as opposed to another brand I was considering, which had an uneven pattern that appeared to be uncomfortable. The padding is just right to make you feel pampered while still allowing you to reap the benefits of sleeping on the hard floor. What is going on in Japan is well-known. ) I also enjoy folding it in thirds and using it as a couch or large body pillow. I ordered the queen size, which fits perfectly inside my duvet cover. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking to relieve back and neck pain caused by sleeping in dumb beds (and I do recommend it because I am a massage therapist;). If you're still undecided, I hope this review convinces you to buy. Whether you're a seasoned floor sleeper like me or are just learning about the advantages of ditching your old mattress, Get. This. SHIKIBUTON, SHIKIBUTON, SHIKIBUTON, S Allow your body to adjust to sleeping on the floor instead of traditional mattresses, and you will live a better, healthier life. br>Christamariebr>Massage Therapist, Reiki Master Teacher, Qigong Practitioner, Hypnotherapist, and Fung Shui Enthusiast. br>.

So when I took it out of the box and opened the giant ziplock bag it came in, I was a little skeptical
5/5

I figured I was a sucker because, despite the fact that it appeared to be nothing more than an oversized camping pad, my desire to be cultured and progressive won out. The first night's sleep yielded the results. I awoke 3 hours ahead of schedule and was so tired that I had to concentrate hard and force myself to nap until my alarm went off. Every night has been the same, and I can honestly say that it has been the best sleep of my life. I have carpeted floors, and I keep the futon clean by putting a thin comforter underneath it. It's something about being on the floor, being able to quickly fold up my bed and open up my room that appeals to me, and I'll probably never own a traditional mattress again. I'm sold, I'm a lifer; the Japanese got this one right.

Despite being well-packaged and a well-made product, this mattress pad falls short when it comes to comfort; after sleeping on it, I awoke with pain in my mid to lower back
3/5

However, it's possible that I'm not accustomed to sleeping in the Japanese manner. While I can attest to the fact that it is a good mattress with a lot of thought and care put into the packaging, I would have to say that it is not suitable for someone who is heavy and requires a lot of support (for reference, I weigh around 200 pounds).

It saves you money and space while also keeping you comfortable! The Queen size was purchased, and we are very pleased with it
5/5

We have enough room for me, my boyfriend, our 14-month-old daughter, and our medium-sized dog to sleep on it. It's extremely comfortable, and I could sit on it all day. There is also enough space for my daughter to run around and play, or we can fold it up for even more space.

For those with bad backs, it's well packaged and provides a better night's sleep
5/5

I am completely satisfied. My grandmother could never find a mattress that she liked, so she slept on the floor with some foam padding. Even then, she struggled to get a good night's sleep. When my uncle expressed interest in purchasing a new mattress for her to help her sleep better, I advised him to purchase a Japanese futon. I'd lived in Japan and adored them, and I'd been suggesting to my grandmother for years that she get one, but she was hesitant. My uncle bought her this one, covered the box spring with a board, and made her a bed. It appeals to her. She used to sleep 3 to 6 hours per night, but the first night she used it, she slept 11 hours, and she wishes she had listened to me years ago. I was blown away by the quality of the packaging. If I can get two as a layer more than my grandmother, I'd like to have one of our own. My brother, who has a bad back, has been wanting one since he tried it.

The Best Back Pain Mattress! This futon mattress is absolutely fantastic! I actually prefer it to my newer, more expensive memory foam mattress in terms of comfort and support
5/5

It's ideal for people who suffer from chronic back pain, particularly low back pain. br>br>After sifting through a plethora of mediocre-looking options for a guest mattress/sofabed/futon, I came across this item and couldn't ignore the numerous positive reviews. So I took the plunge and discovered that it was well worth the money. I recently had a friend stay at my new apartment, and he was very happy with his sleeping arrangements on my living room's carpeted hard floor. Me? I couldn't help but feel envious! br>br>This mattress is thick, fluffy, soft, yet firm and supportive; there was no strange odor; it's simple to open (it expands quickly); and it rolls up to store in your closet. The only issue I have with it is that, while it does roll up (with some effort), it is thick and takes up a lot of room. It's currently taking up all of your closet space, and it doesn't bend or fold to fit into a smaller space, so if you're short on space, this could be an issue. br>br>The quality and comfort are exceptional, the stitching is flawless, and I'm considering using it as a mattress topper to improve my own bed's comfort. It's the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on! When I was lying on my back, it never felt better. It's one of the best Amazon purchases I've ever made, which is saying a lot. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.
