If you return it, you'll be charged a 50% restocking fee as well as the return shipping fee to send it back, PLUS the prior international shipping fee to ship it from Japan, which The "return policy" here is deceptive, as returning this item will almost certainly cost you more than the purchase price, and you're basically stuck with it once you've purchased it. br>br>However, I will say that the bedframe that was delivered to me was reasonably well-made and comfortable. It's difficult to move because you can't pick it up like a regular bed frame because it will bend and bow in the middle, potentially breaking. The instructions are entirely in Japanese, with no English translation provided, but they are so simple to put together that you can get by using Google Translate or simply looking at the pictures. There are a few rough edges that could use some sanding, but nothing major. br>br>Overall, my problem is with the company rather than the product, but there are still ways to improve both for complete customer satisfaction.
I was really excited to buy this bed until I put it together. There are four major scratches on the wood in visible places, and the person who drilled the holes for the planks to screw into didn't screw them in straight, so half of the bed zigzags. This is the first and last time I've purchased from this seller.
The wood has a nice color and finish. However, the drill holes are not evenly spaced, resulting in the slats not running in a straight line, and the final slat drill holes before the footboard are too close to the preceding slat, preventing the footboard from being installed.
The quality of this bed has exceeded my expectations. I never thought I'd give 5 stars to a bed frame, but the extra heavy duty, nicely stained wood pieces are incredible for the price. Because of the oversized slats and small gaps, this is the only non-sleeping option. You can use a shikibuton on the solid base platform bed. I'm 290 pounds, and this frame can handle it easily. This was actually shipped out of Okinawa, which surprised me. There's a huge difference between products made in Japan and those made elsewhere in the world. It's a five-star experience from start to finish!.
Just make sure you get a rug pad. This frame is fantastic. It was purchased to be used in the living room as a "daybed style" couch with a Japanese futon mattress. Arrived in a smallish box with a lot of stuff inside. With the help of a friend, it was simple to put together. I just followed the pictures in the instructions, but I'm told they have a translated version on their website. br>br>Seems to be very sturdy, though the two halves bend slightly when moved, so move it from place to place carefully once built. br>br>I strongly advise you to install an anti-virus program on your computer. I was able to solve the problem of the mattress sliding by slipping a rug mat underneath it.
Simple to assemble it appears to be lovely Keep in mind that the instructions are not written in English, so focus on the images. Because it's such a simple design, I had no trouble completing it. It took about 30 minutes to complete the task.
We placed an order for two pieces of natural solid pine wood. Both were packaged tightly and neatly, with a thin layer of foam encasing each item. To ensure a safe journey, the package was also wrapped in bubble wrap on the outside. So far, everything has gone well because all of the pieces were in excellent condition. We haven't started putting it together yet, but it appears to be straightforward. Keep in mind that the text is in Japanese, so you'll have to follow the pictures and symbols. We've already given it five stars for the high quality of the wood and finish, as well as the speed with which it arrived after clearing customs!.
I'm totally smitten. I can't believe it's been so long since I've done it. I recently moved into a house with a swamp cooler that doesn't put out a lot of humidity, so I needed to get my futon off the floor. I'm a bigger girl, but I've slept on a futon my entire adult life, and this bed holds up to my weight without creaking or wiggling. There are no cracks or scratches in the wood, which is stunning. The instructions are in Japanese, and I couldn't find any in English online, so I just stared at the photos for a while. There are two boards that appear to be different from the other eight Flats, so I separated them out and figured out which bags of screws went with which part. They each have three holes, one at the head and the other at the foot. To attach the head and foot boards, the three holes must be facing out. Because one of the boards was misaligned for some reason, we simply replaced it. I came across their Facebook page and intend to make another purchase. Finally, it arrived three weeks early via DHL, so we were fortunate that someone was at home when it arrived.
