nope! They don't seem to make them for this, but I just tuck my regular bed cover under it and it works.
It's a wonderful mattress, but it's not the same as sleeping in a sleeping bag. You can roll it up and tie it together to keep it compact, but it'll have to be transported in a vehicle because it's too heavy to carry in a backpack. Although it is not designed to be waterproof, you could take it camping if your tent has a waterproof lining. In a camper van, motor home, or other vehicle, it could be used as an extra bed base.
This twin size mattress is approximately 19 pounds in weight. Thank you very much.
Yes, it would significantly improve the comfort of an overly firm bed. As a topper, I prefer an "eggcrate" foam mattress, but this one would last longer.

This does not bother me in the least. It's reasonably comfortable, light and portable, allowing me to maximize the use of my small space, and it doesn't have a strong odor (at least not to me). I didn't immediately want to return it because the image is accurate and it functions similarly to a Japanese futon for someone like me who doesn't mind a slightly firmer bed. The issue is that, despite the fact that the image is correct, the listing still refers to it as a Japanese futon, which it is not. It's more akin to a thick blanket. This is not a Japanese futon, so don't expect it to provide the same level of firmness and support. Unless you have tatami or something soft underneath, you will be able to feel the floor. I would only recommend using it on a carpeted floor if you're going to use it without any additional support. Neither tile nor hardwood are acceptable options. br>Basically, if you don't mind sleeping in a sleeping bag on hard ground, you'll be fine. If you want a genuine Japanese futon, you should probably go to a specialty store or something. There is nothing else on Amazon that comes close to this.
The "futon" was more of a hard pad than I expected. It was suggested that I add other items to this "futon" to make it more comfortable, but I wouldn't have bought it in the first place if I wanted a bunch of other things. If you decide to return it, they will charge you a 46% restocking fee. For the weight and size of the box, it will also cost you that much in return shipping. As a result, proceed with caution when placing your order. I'm not going to get any more. That is my personal opinion as well as a verified purchase account. I'd previously stated this, but neither the vendor nor Amazon would allow it to be published.
It's extremely comfortable. Love it. It's extremely comfortable. br>br>Here's what's up with the odor. It has a fresh smell to it. If you're bothered by the smell of new furniture, simply air it out. It didn't bother me at all. br>br>It's a few inches narrower and shorter than the description because I believe they measured the fabric case unstuffed rather than stuffed. It's not a major issue. br>br>Easy to roll, easy to flip; I've slept on it a few nights in a row and it still feels like sleeping on the floor, albeit a little more luxuriously. br>br>I use a fitted sheet and a waterproof mattress cover with some stretch. Because the case isn't washable and is filled with natural fibers, it makes it *a little* less comfortable (less cushy feeling). I'm not going to take the chance of my toddler puking on it, or my dog peeing on it. br>br>When I'm lying on my side, my hip still touches the floor, but it's not painful. For a long time, I've wanted a proper Japanese futon but couldn't justify spending $300 on one. Shikibuton for the rest of your life. br>br>The D mattress is a twin size mattress. D is everything I'd hoped for in a boyfriend. It has just enough padding to keep my hips from slamming into the ground, has no chemical odor, is light, and allows me to sleep on my side while maintaining proper spinal alignment. The padding is approximately 3" thick, but when compressed, it is likely to be as low as 1-inch thick. 5". I awoke without any back pain or tension in my shoulders the morning after sleeping on this futon for the first time in months. Because the cover isn't removable, I covered it with a flat sheet. My neck gets the support it needs at night by sleeping on a buckwheat pillow with inner sections sewn to keep the hulls from shifting around too much.
Very nice, and I used it as a topper for my twin floor mattress.

Every morning, I roll up the futon and cover it with a set of XL twin sheets. Making it up or taking it apart takes only a few minutes, and the bed looks like the photo during the day. Next to the bed, I have the futon set up. I believe it's visible in the photo's upper right corner. br>br>I just put a 2" mattress topper under it (under the rug so I don't have to put it away every day) because sleeping on my side was a bit difficult for my old bones (I'm in my 70s), and it's so much better than my 20-year-old memory foam mattress, which was pretty degraded and never gave the kind of support this does. br>br>03/06/2019br>This is a photo of the futon with an XL twin fitted sheet.
