Questions & Answers

When the mattress is rolled up, what is its size? When I move, I'd like to get a rolling duffel or bag. ?

It measures about 4 feet long by 2 feet wide. Although you could probably compress it a little, fitting it into a standard-sized duffel bag would be extremely difficult.

Is anyone's shipment going to be rescheduled?

I didn't.

Is it possible to remove the cover and wash it? Thank you very much. ?

It is possible to remove the cover, which has a zipper, but it is not recommended. There is no separation between the stuffing and the outer sheet, and there are numerous small cloth ties that keep the mattress material from shifting.

Is there a king-size bed available?

Size: normal

Boi thicc thicc thicc thicc thic Getting rid of our bed in favor of a bed that can be rolled up and placed on the floor in the Japanese style
5/5

Many of the shikibutons I looked at were significantly more expensive and significantly thinner. This shikibuton does not roll up as small as traditional shikibutons, but on the plus side, it does not require the purchase of a tatami mat to be used underneath it. I would strongly suggest it. It's thicc as hell, and it's perfect for transitioning to sleeping on the floor.
Edit: It's been almost a year since I've used it, and it's still working well:.

Sleeping on the floor isn't something to be ashamed of! I used to sleep on a memory foam mattress that was 12 inches thick
5/5

My back and hips were destroyed as a result of it. After my mother assisted me in conducting research on the best type of mattress to sleep on, I purchased one of these futons. MY BACK AND HIPS FEEL SO MUCH BETTER EVERY MORNING NOW AND THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST I'VE EVER SLEEPED ON IN MY LIFE. I was expecting the kind of futon that comes with one of those generic couch/beds, but it's not like that; it's not lumpy at all, and it's simple to flip and air out as needed. In addition, I purchased one for my son. Because I'm a little heavier than he is, I put a 1/2" piece of foam on the floor beneath the futon to help with my fatty spots. My son, on the other hand, does not and is perfectly content.

For first-timers sleeping on the floor, give your body a couple of days to adjust
5/5

Many people claim that it's because they didn't allow their bodies to adjust to the changes. Smh newbies should do their homework before writing a review of a Japanese style mattress on the same day. My body has adjusted to the point where it is perfect, and I am falling asleep quickly. I don't have any aches or pains in the morning, and I occasionally sleep on my side, which is no longer an issue. I'm 180 pounds, so a 3 inch mattress will suffice for the time being. A minimalistic lifestyle is something I would recommend.

I began sleeping on the floor because they are comfortable and inexpensive
5/5

I actually use a full-size mattress and a queen-size mattress that I fold in half. At 6'5" and 280 pounds, not to mention being on the verge of retirement, I require a little more padding than a young or thin person. Still, these are excellent; I use the same brand for both sizes. I've been making use of them for a while now. several. five?. how long has it been? From time to time, whether in the winter or any other season, air them out. Simply avoid getting them wet, as drying them will be a nightmare. If I haven't broken out the new sets yet, I keep several sets on hand. br>br> I like these a lot. The only issue I had was that I was unaware that this was available in a variety of covering materials. hues and patterns I would have gone with a different option. Still, it's not a major issue. I usually don't notice because I have flat sheets on top, but it is an obnoxious color when I change sheets. My bad. I didn't take any notice of my surroundings. The other sets, I believe, are distinct, though I may have discovered this after placing my order. Still, it's only a minor quibble, and it's entirely my fault; who knows, perhaps prison slate will become fashionable in the future. a thousand years from now.

It does exactly what it's supposed to do
4/5

Because I knew I wouldn't be staying in the city for long, I purchased this to replace my bed in my apartment. For over a year, I slept soundly on the futon (I'm 5'4" and 110 pounds). Because I was accustomed to sleeping on a regular mattress, I awoke with aches and pains for the first week or so. However, once my body adjusted, I was able to sleep soundly. Two minor points to note: Because it's thin and I keep it on a carpeted floor, it can get hot in the middle of the night, especially in the summer. It can also become saggy/lumpy in the middle if you don't take the time to beat/fluff it every few weeks. However, I received exactly what I paid for in the end: a well- made, thin futon that won't blow you away but is comfortable enough if you're low-maintenance and just need a place to lay your head. When I move, I'll keep it for visitors, but after a year, I'll be ready to return to an actual bed.

This is a good futon mattress to invest in
5/5

It's a little firmer than I'd like, but it's nice and thick and exactly what I was looking for. A squishy bed is my preference. For most people, what I want would be too soft, and this mattress could be ideal. (I'm currently sleeping on it; I just added a 4"-thick pillow. ) It'll be softer with a thick foam mattress underneath it. ) It appears to be in good condition. It's well-made, and I expect it to last a long time.

Does what he says he'll do, and he does it well! I was blown away by how comfortable the shikifuton were after spending a few weeks in Japan and staying in ryokan all over the country
4/5

Since then, I've been itching to get out of my bed and try something new. This bed is so much more comfortable than the ones I had in Japan! However, a word of advice from the wise: With regular cotton or flannel sheets, this bed can get quite hot. I bought a set of linen sheets from my local Target and they were a lifesaver, as well as very comfortable! br>br>If this one dies on me, I will definitely buy another one. If you're looking for a less expensive alternative to a traditional mattress and bed set, this is the way to go.

At first, it's pleasant, but it quickly flattens out
3/5

I've gained a few pounds, but I'm still in the middle of the pack. sized (5'10" at around 160 lbs), but it flattens out from three inches to about a half inch after sleeping on it with a carpet, rug, and exercise mat underneath. It doesn't matter how well I fluff it out the day before or the day after, it's an inch thick after a night's sleep. Simply put, it isn't very firm. I was able to get a more genuine Japanese experience. made shikibuton of similar thickness, which is much more sturdy and not much more expensive, and holds up much better due to the more dense cotton filling and thicker construction. br>br>For the time being, I'm using it as a kind of sofa against the wall. replacement, but even after an hour or two, the floor beneath one's feet becomes very apparent. br>br>If this is going to be used for sleeping, I'd suggest looking into more authentic Japanese shikibutons. If you have more padding, this can work as a layer, but I find that it sinks in too much even then.
