How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

Made in the United States of America with pride. Three layers of white cotton batting, a 1-inch layer of resilient foam in the middle, and a layer of fiber batting make up this mattress.
Gray is a neutral color. 100% polyester fabric material It is not permitted to remove the cover for cleaning purposes.
3" thick, 60" wide, and 80" long queen size bed.
Laws require that the product be flame retardant. To save money on shipping, we ship the mattress in a smaller box. The mattress is corrugated after opening the package, and the width and length may be slightly shorter. After stretching and pulling out two ends longer, the original size will be regained.
Cleaning instructions: We always recommend using any mattress cover sheet to cover the entire mattress for protection, spot cleaning only, and then airing out under the sun or putting closed to open windows for airing and drying.

Questions & Answers

Are the mattresses made of D?

I'm not sure, but they have a strong chemical odor when you open them. It does, however, fade away.

Is it simple to clean these?

Because they're quite heavy, I'd keep them covered. I believe it is too big for a washing machine. For one, it's too big. Cleaning it is the same as cleaning any other mattress.

Is it possible that it has been used as a futon? (couch?

Yes, we had temporarily relocated to an apartment, and my son claimed that it was quite comfortable.

Is it possible to fully flatten the futon? There appears to be a built-in headboard area in the photos?

Yes, it folds up like a sleeping bag and ties up.

BEWARE OF THE BUYER
3/5

BUYER BEWAREbr>Ignore this review unless you have previously owned these exact futons and accepted their quality. br>For new buyers, please be aware that these are basic soft with no support, and that they contain a strong chemical that caused an allergic reaction in both my child and me. br>The main issue is that we wanted to return something and were told that we would have to pay for the return shipping. We spent $235 on both, with my shipping costing $106. Please don't fall into the same trap as us and spend your money on higher-quality products, better customer service, and a more flexible return policy. We basically paid to give one away for free, only to be left with nothing in return. br>AMAZON CANNOT HELP YOU WITH THIS BUYER BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT COVERED FROM A TO Z. It's a risky purchase. br>I'm hoping that this will be of assistance to future buyers.

It's ideal for regular sleep
5/5

This was purchased to replace a Sleepnumber bed that my husband and I had previously purchased. We both have back problems since returning to the United States after a four-year stay in Japan (where we slept on traditional Japanese shikibuton). We tried a few expensive beds that were supposed to help with pain before deciding that sleeping on the floor was the best option for us. We slept in a carpeted room, and despite the fact that one mattress was fine for me, my husband insisted on getting a second. We've been sleeping on two stacked futons each night, and it's the most comfortable sleep we've had in a long time. Instead of using a traditional tatami mat, we've laid the futons on a flat sheet, topped them with a mattress pad to ensure their longevity, and then made the bed like any other western mattress. We've been hanging them up weekly to air out and fluff them up, as well as rotating them. I can't emphasize how comfortable they are enough. These are just as good as those that cost hundreds or thousands of dollars. br>br>The mattress is delivered in a box with plastic wrap around it. When you first open it, there's a slight odor, but it goes away quickly. br>br>Also, when I contacted the seller with questions, I received prompt and courteous responses, indicating that the customer service is on par with the product quality.

This is an excellent bed for everyday use
5/5

This is the bed that my fiancée and I use on a daily basis. It has helped my back tremendously. Sleeping on my side isn't as comfortable, but I can't sleep on my back, which I couldn't do on a regular mattress. I enjoy being able to roll up my bed to make space in our small apartment for visitors.

It's not a mattress; it's a pillow
3/5

So, I bought this item because it said "futon mattress" on the packaging. " It's not the case. It's merely a pillow, after all. A big, fat pillow, to be precise. This is the pillow for you if you're looking for something that's about the size of a queen mattress. I strongly advise you to continue shopping if you're looking for a futon mattress that will be used by a guest at some point. I planned on returning the item, but I don't have the time or resources to do so. I'm not sure what to say. I'm lazy. So instead of taking the $120 hit, I'm sharing my thoughts on the product and using it as a cautionary tale about buying D. Products with the letter D br>br>It's not that the product is defective. It isn't, but it isn't what it claims to be either. If you're a masochist who enjoys a bad night's sleep, this could be the "mattress" for you. Maybe if you stacked them one on top of the other, you'd get the support of a real futon mattress, but I'll be damned if I'm going out and buying another one just to make things right. D br>br>D br>br>D br>br>D b If you're reading this, D, I'd be happy to change my low/negative review if you're willing to send me another "mattress" so that I can sleep on this item; if not, no problem. In the future, I'll simply conduct my business elsewhere. br>br>Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Love it! It is a good deal
5/5

I've been sleeping on it for about two months and it's exactly what I was looking for. I use a thin pad on the floor, then a Klymit double air sleeping pad, and finally this mattress on the floor, which has really helped my back and given me more body mobility by forcing me to get out of bed from floor level. I was experiencing some physical issues and had lost muscle tone as a result of healing tendons that had ripped in one hip, and this was the ideal solution. I am a 62-year-old woman. I'm not sure I'll go back to a frame unless it's absolutely necessary, because walking over and sitting down on a bed at that height requires no movement of the body. I believe that people are designed to sleep on their stomachs, and I prefer it to sleeping on a queen frame. Plus, the room now feels much more spacious and uncrowded. It's in good shape, and when I remake the bed every two weeks or so, I roll it up. I no longer need to change the sheets once a week because I live alone, but it would be better for the mattress if I did. It never feels flat because of the sleeping pad underneath, and the Klymit pad is extremely thin but buoyant! This is a pad that I strongly suggest. It's fine now that I've rolled it up twice and flipped it top to bottom. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. I've been using it for about six months and I'm growing to like it. My only issue with sleeping on the floor was that making my bed on my knees was extremely difficult for me, so I'm experimenting with other options. After it's made and I've tried it for a while, I'll post an update with my design solution. I'm thinking 60"x80", 1" ply with rounded corners, and over 4 heavy duty wheels should suffice. The issue is one of height. My maximum height is one foot, but I believe it should be closer to ten feet. I'll give one more update with my thoughts. The mattress is still in excellent condition.
