Questions & Answers

Is it possible that this futon has been chemically treated? What about flame retardants, antibacterials, and other chemicals?

Mighty Top II, a material whose antibacterial, deodorant, and anti-fungal properties have been confirmed in Japan. Batting is done with mite effects. It is not chemically treated because of the above-mentioned effects caused by the unique fiber structure. br>The futon's rest is made of only safe materials like cotton and polyester, allowing you to use it safely.

Is this a 100% Japanese futon? The wording only says that it has been "checked and finished by a craftsman in Japan." ?

Yes, I believe so.

Is it possible to use a futon frame with this?

If the slats are closely spaced, yes. It's a floor futon that folds into thirds when not in use.

When the mattress is shipped, is it wrapped in plastic? If I leave the box on my porch for several hours, I'm worried about bugs getting into it. ?

Yes, it came in a nice package.

I wish I could award it a perfect score of six stars! This is an incredible bed
5/5

I simply rolled it out on the floor and draped a bed sheet over it. I have never slept in a more comfortable bed. There is no longer any "hammock effect," as there was in every other mattress I've ever owned. Our $4000 mattress doesn't compare to this level of comfort. I sleep on my sides and back with no discomfort. br>br>I tried the bed in a variety of positions, and if you're anything like me, you'll prefer sleeping with your head pointing east. I wake up around 4 a. m. I'm fully rested at 30 a. m. It took me a long time to get out of my usual bed. A dull ache would always be present in my back. This bed is not for you. My back used to crack the flatter I laid on for the first week, but that has now stopped. br>br>I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something more in their active lifestyle, and the added benefit of stretching those hip muscles while standing up from a floor position is fantastic. br>br>The ONLY thing I wish this bed had was a bag in which to store it. Because it folds into thirds, a zipper bag would be ideal. I'm confident I'll be able to locate one on the internet.

This is an excellent option for sleeping on the floor
5/5

I chose this futon because it was the only one I could find that didn't require vacuum sealing during shipping. During my research, it appeared that many complaints about other futons stemmed from the vacuum seal permanently altering the futon's integrity. Because I live in an apartment, I also didn't have the time or space to let a vacuum-sealed option "air out in the sun" for several days. br>br>After seeing the futon in person, I am very happy with my decision; there are no discrepancies between what I received and what was listed. It's just like it says it is. br>br>However, anyone considering switching from a bed to a futon should be aware of the following points. Before putting up the futon, I slept on the floor, as you can see in my photos. I'm used to sleeping on the floor or on a futon, and I love it. Please don't expect this futon to be as comfortable as a memory foam mattress. a cloud of foam It is very comfortable, firm, and dense (exactly what I am used to and enjoy), which is why I enjoy this product; however, please allow your body time to adjust and understand that it may not be right for you. br>br>If you're looking for a simple and inexpensive futon cover, a basic queen-sized flat sheet is a good choice. It's the ideal size for folding in half and sewing up two sides to create a removable cover! I simply tuck the open side beneath the futon (as seen in my video).

A futon that is truly 4" thick
5/5

LOVE IT. I've always had trouble sleeping, so when I decided to try a futon, I couldn't believe how well I slept. There are no aches or numbness, and you wake up feeling more rested. Because it was not compressed during shipment, the box it arrived in was quite large. I can't say enough nice things about you. It appeals to me, and my dog enjoys it as well.

This futon is one of my favorites
5/5

I live in a small apartment and plan to relocate soon, so I needed a mattress that could be rolled up or folded into three sections and carried easily. Because our room is small, every day when we wake up, we want to spend the day in a clean room with no bedding. Before meeting this futon, I tried a few others, but none of them were quite right. For instance, when we unpack the delivered futon, we find a 3-foot-long futon. The inch futon is vacuum-sealed. The product description says 3 inches thick after being compressed to 1 inch, but it could only be about 1. 5 inches. We were completely let down. This futon, on the other hand, is thick and uncompressed, and it arrives in a fluffy state, making it extremely comfortable. When you lie down, I believe you can sense your body being wrapped in a soft futon. The cushioning is vastly superior to that of the futon we previously used. When sleeping on the previous futon, the back felt like it was on the floor, it hurt, and it was excruciatingly painful, but this futon is completely different. I'm curious as to how many days I went through that agony. Because it is used directly on the floor, you may be concerned about ticks, but it is completely safe because it is made with anti-tick material. anti-tick, Inside, there are antibacterial and deodorant materials, so I think it's best to move the futon every now and then and clean the floor just in case. br>br>If you choose Japanese mattresses, check to see if they are compressed when delivered and for how long. The reason for this is that if the cotton is compressed with vacuum seal for a long time, it will become hard and will not return to its original volume even after it is opened from the package for a while. If you see complaints that the thickness of other futons differs from what is described on their product page, it is most likely because the futon was delivered with a compressed period that was too long. The compressed futon becomes hard like a stone as a result of the high compression, and when you hit it with your fist, you will hear a knocking sound. br>br>I'm a big fan of the space- This futon, which is fluffy from the moment it's delivered because it's uncompressed, and a saving duvet that can be folded in three and stored in the closet every day. I'm in love with this Japanese mattress. Every day, I spend time in a clean room, sleep on a fluffy futon, and even carry this futon in my car when I travel. I am grateful to this futon for making me feel good every day. br>br>In addition, a futon cover can be purchased here when purchasing a futon. It is safe to 100% use 100% cotton. Those who know how to dry and maintain a futon will have no trouble, but those who don't or can't because of weather issues can use a wonderful Japanese mattress cover to keep their mattress clean.

Comfortable, but better suited to carpeted or tatami-style floors
4/5

Because I don't have enough space for a desk, I sit on the floor and use a foldable kid's table to hold my laptop. I used to just sit on a pillow, but I decided to get this because I can lay down to watch videos and even sleep while doing so if I want to, with the option of putting it away when I need more floor space. In addition, I have an elderly dog who has difficulty jumping onto the bed to join me. br>br>When it arrives, it isn't vacuum sealed, so it stays fluffy and doesn't have any strange odors. It's reasonably comfortable, and I haven't experienced any backaches as a result of using it. This is covered by a twin-size fitted sheet. However, it would be better suited to a carpet or a tatami floor with some give, as I can still feel my hard floor beneath it, particularly where the futon folds. But I can't complain because I'm not in pain or having trouble sleeping. However, I'm thinking about investing in a foldable tatami mat to place underneath it. I also wish it had a strap or something to keep it folded when not in use. To keep it folded while it's put away, I simply tie it with a sash I have on hand.
