There is a screw at the top of the lid. As far as I know, I've never experienced any trouble with it coming loose.

It is deceptive, as the holes are regular in size, and not extra-large. No matter how finely grated the parmesan cheese is, holes will clog unless the contents are dry and fine. Transferring grated cheese from 5 ounces, I found that it was too difficult to do. As a result of the store container, I could only transfer one This is 2 ounces. A 5 oz. packet is a packet containing 5 oz. The shaker "is deceptive, as it is based on the weight of what is being placed into it. This container may work for finely ground spices, but I cannot imagine it could hold 5 ounces. There was grated cheese on the plate.
In both cases, there was damage. It was two in a row. The sea salt clogs up the smaller shakers that I use to dispense it. I thought these would be great. The top of one of the books had a huge crease dent, which would have been a good alternative. In the other case, the top was not able to be secured. I just spun it around and it would pop right off. It would have been time consuming and inconvenient for me to repackage and return them to the post office. I did not think it was worth my time.
A gift was given to me. This seems to be a good fit for her.
In search of a fairly inexpensive cheese shaker, I came across this website. The information I was looking for was right here. A few minor dent/depressions were found on the lid, despite being well-packaged for delivery. This is the only reason for the 4 stars. Although it wasn't damaged to the point where I felt I needed to return it, the fact that I notice something when I use it makes me want to return.
You get so much more for your money and look so cute! I was impressed with the speed of shipping and the cuteness of the item.
It's a great size. With holes that are perfect for cleaning my kitchen sink, I use it as a sink cleaner. It looks nice on my sink too.
