I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say. The container is made of a tough, transparent plastic. The tops are a little more supple than the bottoms, and the product claims to be bpa-free.
Yes. For flour, I have the 12 cup container, and for brown sugar, I have the container with the brown sugar. Ingredients can easily be scooped out of my 1 cup measure.

FOOD STORAGE IS AN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT THING TO DO These canisters are said to be airtight, according to Progressive. That's not the case. In July of 2017, I purchased this set, as well as several individual pieces for my various organic flours, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, chocolate chips, and other baking ingredients, as well as several individual pieces for my various organic flours, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, chocolate chips, and other baking ingredients. I recently discovered that a bag of rice I bought from WalMart was infested with pantry moths, which has wreaked havoc on my pantry, including the paper goods; This was the first time I'd heard of them- What an ordeal! I was shocked to find moths and their cocoons inside EVERY ONE of these canisters while sorting through food to discard. It's not like one of the seals has failed. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WAS TESTED AND FOUND TO BE CONTAMINATED! I threw away all of the containers and their contents. I despise thinking about how much money was squandered on containers and food because of their claims. I'm on the lookout for airtight storage containers once more, but this time I'm going to put their claims to the test. This was an extremely costly lesson that I will not repeat.
But when I tried to put the brown sugar prokeeper back into the lid where it goes for storage after washing it and soaking it in water according to the directions, one of the little prongs that holds it in place snapped right off and flew across the room! When I called Progressive International, I was told that a representative would call me back, but this did not occur. After calling two days later, the receptionist suggested I try email, which I did, and the next day, a girl called to tell me that I didn't have an issue because the storage wasn't necessary because the clay disc could be placed directly in the brown sugar. That's fine, but why is it on there, and when I pay that much for something, I don't expect it to break before I can even put the brown sugar in it! They refused to compensate me in any way, which I thought was unfair, and my only other option was to return the item, which is a hassle for me. Progressive International didn't seem to care in the least, and their customer service certainly leaves a lot to be desired!.
It was not a good investment. They're not quite as big as they appear. These are merely adequate. They're overpriced for what they are, and the photos are a little misleading when it comes to the sizes. The largest one for flour is barely wide enough to fit a 1C measuring cup inside, as shown in the photo. They do what they say they'll do, but they're just too expensive; it's a shame, because I'd love to have a few more in my pantry, but another $100 isn't worth it.
I'd been looking for a set of kitchen canisters for a while and this was the first set I came across that was designed with function in mind but still looked sleek and modern. Each canister was created specifically for the contents it would hold. br>br>The flour container holds an average supermarket size bag of flour and has a leveling bar. I haven't had any problems with it yet. br>br>The brown sugar container comes with a terra cotta disc that is supposed to keep the sugar soft. I followed the directions for the disc, but a month or so later when I went to use it for the first time since opening it was hard, but the container is still fantastic. br>br>The sugar container has a pour spout, which I dislike because the lid is recessed, which traps sugar and makes it difficult to close the spout lid, The confectioners/powdered sugar container has a leveling bar for scooping and a shaker spoon for dusting cakes, cookies, and other baked goods that snaps into the lid. As I was putting them away, I discovered a second crack! I'm in a terrible mood right now. I'll have to return the entire set, which makes me extremely disappointed and angry. I was looking forward to these and would prefer to have the two canisters replaced instead, but I can't figure out who to contact and there's no option to file a complaint. There is no way to contact customer service. Simply go back. I'm pissed off. I should have spent more time inspecting them, but I was so eager to reorganize my cubboard that I forgot, and now I'm irritated. These are fantastic. br>br> Except this one is cracked, which I discovered after I added the flour! I took it out of the box, rinsed it, dried it, and filled it up, and now I'm so disappointed! I was so excited, and now I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to return the entire set for a single crack. I'm also stumped as to who I should speak with about a replacement. ðŸ˜.
I used to use OXO push-top containers, but I wanted to give these a try because of their unique features. I've had them for a month and enjoy them, but I haven't put them to much use yet. The sugar canisters were larger. They each fit into a whole bag, but I like to have extras on hand because I bake frequently. br>• The first time I used the clay moisture thing on the brown sugar container, one of the pegs holding it broke. • There is a lot of weight on the lid. If the container isn't completely full, it will tip over.
Before using, wash with warm soapy water to make it easy to clean. They don't come with instructions, but the back of the box has detailed pictures that explain all of the functions. There is no unpleasant odor, as some people have claimed. They can hold an entire bag of flour as well as the sugars. NO LABELS ARE INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGING. They were all added by me. A cute label punch, chalkboard cardstock, and a white gel pen are all you'll need. Clear packing tape was used to hold it together. Although it states that it is dishwasher safe, I always hand wash. They have a good seal; to lock the lid, you must press down firmly. It also comes with a number of useful accessories. They aren't as "country" as I'd like, but they keep my flour and sugars airtight, unlike some ceramic crocks, which can't even hold a whole bag of sugar. I'm a little disappointed that the price has increased. I added it to my cart, thought about it for a few days, and then the price went up by $5. $%! I hope they turn out to be worthwhile.
